It's just like when Beckham first came up with the Sox. He had a great season. Then pitchers adjust and the young player has to do the same. That doesn't happen often.
Think about the seasons that Harper and Trout had last year. And now look at them this year. This year it's Puig mania and I'm sure next year he won't have as great of a season. Baseball is all about adjustments. Beckham has finally started to hit well. Flowers never made the adjustments. It all depends on how the player adjusts after pitchers make adjustments.
I hope Phegley gets better defensively and can continue to hit well. The White Sox need a young guy they can count on to catch for the next 5-10 seasons.
