According to Jayson Stark of ESPN.com, the Phillies have done "extensive" groundwork on a potential trade for Carlos Quentin.

Very interesting. There's no word on if the Phillies have actually spoken with the White Sox about Quentin, but he is one potential replacement for Jayson Werth in right field, even though he is a liability on defense. According to Stark, the Phillies also have varying degrees of interest in free agent outfielders Jeff Francoeur and Jermaine Dye.

They should do it (Phils), cause Philadelphia sucks at sports, and Werth shouldn't be put that low.

Philadelphia can't beat Chicago in Hockey.
The Phillies can't beat the Cubs, which is embarrassing on their part.
Philadelphia sucks. I want to see a PhiPhitySphorts.com.

I think the WS should trade Q. At least shop him and see what they can get. But, don't trade him until your 100% this trade is good and will help the team.

I'd stick with CQ for 1 more year. He'll be fully healthy and see what he does. If he has a great season you re-sign him or move him for more pieces! If he could get back to '08 form that'd be money!

I'm on the fence with keeping TCQ. If the Sox some how can land another bat or two and Quentin becomes the 6th or 7th hitter in that hypothetical line up, then it probably wont hurt to try to move him. But if were looking at Rios to be our #3 hitter again, then shipping off the few sources of power we have probably isn't the greatest move despite his proneness to injury.
