That's what Watson is, a pipe dream. Nothing more. The following teams have infinitely more to offer the Texans than the Chicago Bears:
1. Jacksonville
2. Jets
3. Dolphins
4. Eagles
5. Panthers

And those are the teams in the top 10. I'm sure there are more that I'm missing. As Bears fans, we have three options:
1. Trade: Wentz is probably the best bet.
2. Draft: put who is going to be there at 20?
3. Mitch. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'd love Watson. Would be over the moon if they could trade for him. Too bad it's unrealistic.

Some of you need to get over the fact that Watson will not be a Chicago Bear.

We will see what Watson actually gets traded for. Then we will know if the Bears could have beaten it. Would have been nice to try. The only good news about Wentz coming here is I know this will be the last year of Pace/Nagy.

Fingers crossed on that. I pray that if they lose, that they lose in such a convincing manner that there's no possible way ownership can retain either, that's also pending Pace having not traded future first rounders for Wentz. Obiviously it'd be great if we're all dumb and Wentz regains his 2017 form, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think most people on here are hitting the pipe.

Side question.. if the Texans were willing to trade Watson for the #1 straight up essentially getting them Lawrence would Jacksonville do it?

5 years from now when Lawrence isn't playing anywhere near the level of Watson they'll wish they had. I'd make that trade inna nanosecond. One, very proven top tier commodity for a valuable unknown one.
I would take Lawrence and $25mil in cap space for 3 years for sure.

Cap space is not something the Jags are short on. They have a total of two players making north of 10 mil per.

My pipe dream is not over. Trade for Wentz will happen then after the draft the Texans will like finally shop him and maybe they take Wentz vs a rookie and additional compensation.

You may have missed it but the Watson thread finally hit 1,000 posts. Watson to the Bears is a stone cold lock now.
