Lake is not a good hitter. 8:1 SO:BB ratio screams bad baseball IQ.

Baez who knows. Not all of them will make it. Soler looks like he will become a stud. Baez is still in question as is Alcantara.

Going into the season Soler was the most ready and it shows. We will see if those 2 adjust or not.

Bryant I'm feeling will adjust fast also.

We can go with each promote. Soler and Bryant had little down time. Baez and Alcantra struggled at first in AAA. That is nothing compared to the bigs.

If it took Rizzo a full year to adjust imagine how it will go with 2 hitters with worse BB ratios. Very questionable going forward.

Next wave I feel good about Schwarber and Russell. Almora might bust.

I think they are tanking game 3 with that line up.

Without castro and rizzo that going to be their regular lineup.

Kalish is starting over Soler only because Soler going to get regular days off and they played 14 innings yesterday between the 2 games..

And im sure youve noticed whose been leading off the last few games.. Alcantara

Without castro and rizzo its going to be a huge struggle to score runs now unless a couple of these kids get hot..
Shame cause they just started to play pretty good

Why is Soler getting all these days off, yet they keep K-bag Baez in there everyday to be 4 easy outs a game?

Baez is starting to worry me. He's been up long enough to begin to learn how to take a ML AB. Doesn't seem to be learning or adjusting. Maybe I am being too harsh but it is worrisome. I am curious to see what happens to Wood over the offseason. I wouldn't mind him becoming hte #5 starter but no way we see Wood and Jackson in the rotation next year

Ya they have been saying Alacantara is their viewed lead off. We will see with that.

The only foreshadowing I see is they will invest into LF. If they felt Coghlan was their lead off then Alcantara would be hitting lower in the order.

I still believe that Rick can't construct a line up.

Oh, Olt 3 for 3. Seems like his simplifying his swing is more than just talk.

That's what Baez needs to do. Start taking balls to the right side and using all of the field. Not every hit has to be a mammoth 450' HR, nor does he have to swing like that. He needs to take pitches the opposite way, and turn on pitchers mistakes. He will be a lot tougher out if he does that and much harder to pitch to.

He definitely has work to do in the off-season.
