But he is hitting .225. A real RBI guy would be hitting .400 with RISP!

Again cubs lose with scoring less then 3 runs..Just think if they hit there MAGIC number 4 runs they would win again.

I have a question. What do you think has happened more this season: the Cubs failing to score 4 runs or more or Cubs pitchers giving up 4 runs or more?

Gotta go to B-Ref and just check the game logs. Too lazy to do it myself :lol:

I found out today you can sort gamelogs at B-R by runs scored and runs allowed so it was pretty easy to find out that pitchers giving up 4 or more runs has happened 10 times more the offense has failed to score 4 runs or more. The Cubs record when pitchers allow fewer than 4 runs is 39-14 (.722 winning percentage).

It would seem that it's a combination of lack of offense and crummy pitching then, eh? ;)
