So who's playing for a spot in game 4? And who beats out their competition?
Scott / Britton / Webb
Does only one of these guys make the team? If he's healthy enough, is it Scott over Webb? Or would we consider taking 9 OL into the season and bring two of these guys along?
Anderson / Toliver
I'm assuming Weems and Wilson are making it, which surprises even me since until recently, I was almost certain that Wilson would be headed to the PS. I'm still not sure he's really ready, but he's shown well enough with the 1st and 2nd teams, that I think he'll make it.
Which leaves a potential last WR slow, assuming we take six, that would come down to Anderson and Toliver I think.
Toliver has actually been playing more with the 2nd team than Anderson has, but Anderson is a much better ST player. And I think that might win him the spot.
Adams / Onobun
Onobun has just about closed the door on this competition, but he's gonna get one more crack at it.
If Adams doesn't blow it, I think he wins the spot by default.
Whiteside / Minter
I think the final DT spot comes down to these two with Whiteside making the team and Minter headed to the PS.
Minter has some great intangibles. A huge motor, and lots of effort, but he's a bull in a china shop right now. Blowing past plays and playing out of control out there at times.
He's gonna need a little refinement I think.
Ford / Allen
Not sure this is even a question any longer. Given Allen's health and Ford's performance.
Costanzo / JT Thomas
This one is probably just about wrapped up, with Costanzo winning the final LB spot. But who knows, maybe a great showing by Thomas would make the decision a little tougher.
Ozougwu / Washington
Washington helped his cause quite a bit last week, but before that, he hadn't done a whole lot, and hasn't really done much against anything more than the third stringers.
Ozougwu has outplayed him in the three preseason games and I think makes the roster, with Washington headed to the PS.
Palmer / Edwards
The Edwards / Palmer duel now becomes more interesting. As one of them may actually wind up on the team.
Does whoever starts the game have the advantage in the coaches mind?
C.J. Wilson / Hurst
Personally, I've liked what I've seen from Wilson more than Hurst. But with a decent showing from Hurst, maybe this is still a close call.
Fiametta / Unga
Can Unga return this week and make enough of an impression to have a shot at this spot? Probably not.
But I haven't been terribly impressed with Fiametta to be honest. So maybe there's a sliver of hope there for Unga.
Anyone else?
