Heh...I don't know if i'll be picked but i'm probably one of the youngest guys in here. Hope none of the veterans have a problem sitting next to a skinny white boy in his early 20's.

Wow how cool is this? Doug this is awesome, too bad I'll be 2000 miles away at school.

The mods are why this forum will be the top bulls site very quickly.

I agree. This should be a good forum. I was over on SportsTwo, which had the potential to be good, but it ended up becoming just one Blazers forum, where the admins catered to whatever those Blazers fans wanted. In addition, they condone pornography in their avatars over there. That's one of the good things here with the rules in regards to that. If you want to go look at that stuff, go look at a site that is for that purpose. Without that type of stuff, this is actually a site you can view in public.

And the Bulls talk of course, is top notch.

I haven't been to sportstwo is that the forum mikedc started? Odd that it would have ended up a blazers forum because I thought he was a big Bulls fan.

Anyway, this forum will cater to Chicago sports, because, well, that's who we are. We'll probably be almost all Bulls, but we're hoping to add some Bears, Sox, Cubs, and maybe Hawks podcasts too down the line.

Yeah, that was the board that MikeDC started.

Basically, at the start they ended up bringing over all the Nets fans from basketballforum.com (which used to be bbb.net).

Then they bought up a bunch of boards and merged them into SportsTwo. This failed, and there are only really like have 10 or so posters from each site it seems. One of the sites they bought and merged was justbball, and most of those guys didn't stick around.

Then there was some sort of schism at bbf between the Blazers fans and some mod over political debates in their forum, so they left and went to S2. Then the Nets fans felt like the Blazers fans were getting special treatment, and made a message board on a blog that a bunch of them ran.

So now it's really just a big Blazers board, and if you click on New Posts there, it's almost all Blazers.

The Bulls board never took off, despite having two Bulls admins.

I had my blog integrated with their site for awhile, but it wasn't working over there because the drupal software isn't as good as wordpress. For whatever reason, they couldn't keep my domain name with the integration, which was hurting the brand, as having something be sportstwo.com/dabullz isn't the same as dabullz.com. Then I got quite a few emails telling me that they didn't like the S2 site and that it was slow, so I took it off. A few of my readers signed up there during that period.

I'd say there's probably about 6-7 Bulls posters over there that post with any regularity. It just never took off.

I think it would have been a lot more successful if they didn't kill the brand of every site they tried to merge into it. If say Justbball.com became their basketball forums, then have it stay at the Justbball.com domain, but have it interconnected with the Sportstwo forums. Something similar to Sports Blog Nation, where BlogaBull and BleedCubbieBlue are separate sites, but interconnected with one login through SB Nation.

It would have been a lot more work, but a lot more successful imo.

I hope it's not too late because I would love to see D-Rose's greatness up close and personal, because as I said: I believe if the bulls make the playoffs... D-Rose will do something special and display his greatness to the NBA world. Watch!

I think he'll get us out of the 1st round with an upset if we play Orlando. If we play Boston or Cleveland, not so much:(

mmmmMaybe Cleveland if Tyrus can play Lebron and play him well. I remember he stripped Lebron and blocked his shot in back to back plays in a game earlier this season. It was amazing.

Anybody but Boston...

I don't think we make it out of the first round, unless Garnett is injured or we move up to the fifth seed.

But with two guys in Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon, who can legitimately take over a game, you never know what will happen. I don't think they will take over the series though, so their take over games with make it a 6 game series or so.

It's not too late to enter, there is no "entering" really anyway, I just want a list of people who are interested in the prize.

You are entered automatically by participating in the forums, it's just I don't want to declare 6 guys winter to find out three of them live in Florida, Minnesota, and Japan and then have to pick 3 new guys.

To really enter, you need to just contribute on the forum, as the contest states, the tickets will go to the pst forum users who are interested in acquiring them, hence if you entered with 1 post of 10 posts or 20 posts, your odds of winning aren't too high relative to people who've provided good conversation and have 150 posts.

This isn't a pure post count award, quality is important, and if you started spamming the forum with 1 liners, you'd definitely have no chance to win. However, those who start late but still show outstanding commitment to the forum still have every chance to win the tickets, but if you "entered" and never posted afterwards, then well, you're not going to win as this isn't a random drawing.

If we play ORlando I think we can take that series...
Especially if Deng comes back and comes off the bench with Hinrich, Tim Tomas, and Brad Miller... R u serious? Thos four guys are starters on alot of other teams, and then we got Rose, Gordon and Salmons starting? T-Time and Noah? If Tyrus shows up in the playoffs, then we got a chance - even against Cleveland.

Boston? I don't know, maybe if Garnette is still hurt and Marbury brings a little bad luck for them along with his contract. We did beat them earlier this season.

Haha well my odds aren't that great then. Especially since I post like 3 paragraphs per post so I doubt my post count will be going up anytime soon.

Doug, on an unrelated topic ... I'm launching a new site. Has nothing to do with this one so it's all good B) But you would not believe what I lucked into! I'll e-mail you this week about it. You may know some people I can contact who can help me market this. You'll see what I'm talkin about :)

I'll give you a hint: You're already a big fan.
