How would you feel about Jim Harbaugh coming "home" to coach the Chicago Bears next year?

Another limited success coach gets hired as a proven winner to turn this franchise around! Sounds like a deep scratch in the record, and nobody wants to move the needle to a different song.

Not an option. He's a college HC, period. He's great but his antics won't be tolerated by pro players for long. At college you constantly have players coming and going and that's what's best for who he is and how he coaches.

Why not? Try anything.

Absolutely. He won't take the job because after all it is the fucking McCaskey family but I'd sure try to talk to him. However, I'd take his assistant at Stanford, David Shaw in a heartbeat!

As a Bears fan would I like him as a head coach? Sure.

But this is silly.

Chicago is his 'home'? He grew up in Ohio/California and went to Michigan. It's his 'home' because he played a few average to bad seasons as QB in Chicago boasting such amazing stats of 45 TDS and 48 INT?

He left a SB team to coach college. He's a god at the school he coaches at. The school he played for.

He's is paid $9M to coach Michigan. That makes him the highest paid football coach in the world. More than Nick Saban and more than any NFL coach.

So, he would leave his job where he is considered royalty to take a job in a NFL which has very little job security, making less money?

This was not a well thought out thread.
