Popeyes or KFC?

people speak in absolutes when in reality each establishment has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Popeyes has better tasting chicken overall, but the SKIN on KFC’s extra crispy spicy chicken is better than any of popeyes chicken skin. KFC’s macaroni is better than Popeyes, and KFC also has Double Downs, which are from a gift from the Fat Gods. KFC also sells these chocolate cakes that are good as **** and they’re cheap too, so KFC wins in the dessert category.

Popeyes has red beans & rice, better biscuits, they have shrimp and shit. And they got those big ass jugs of sweet tea that have you waking up the next morning with instant diabetes.

That's if you guys eat fried chicken and i won't be surprised if you guys don't

browns and church's suck imho.

I prefer Popeye's overall mostly because of the spicy chicken and the dirty rice...biscuits also rock.

Popeye's mashed potatoes and spicy chicken are better. Cole slaw is better at KFC. Best chicken though is Pollo Express on 18th street and a block west of Blue Island. Charcoal grilled chicken. It burned down a few weeks ago though. Bummer. They'll open up again.

Agreed. Although I will say I am a sucker for Popeye's red beans and rice with a shitload of hot sauce in it for some reason. Guilty pleasure I suppose. Back in your FL days, did you ever get the fried chicken at Publix? Shit is pretty good. Although I rarely eat it, because fried chicken is fucking awful for you.

They're all fine by me. I'm not expecting amazing quality, so they all generally tend to fall in the same boat quality-wise. I do seem to like Popeyes chicken a little better than others, but I don't have a reason why.

White Fence Farm is the bomb, so was the huge fleamarket they used to have up the road a bit.

Not really a chicken place in the true sense but Chic Fil A's chicken biscuit would go down good this morning with a cup of joe.

The best place is usually a smaller place, usually run by (I hate to say this, it is stereotypical but true) a large black Southern woman and her husband. I have been stationed all over the US and almost every time the best fried chicken has come from places like that. I almost always look for that kind of place.

I have gotten raw chicken from White Fence Farm so many times. I WANT to like them, but if you serve uncooked food, then it becomes difficult.

White Fence Farm is overrated IMO. Had them many times. I like the nick nacks more than the food. I think their steak is better than the chicken and it's just a so-so steak. I'm with Crys. Want to like them, but can't bring myself to rank them at the top.

Wow..I always had good luck at WFF...Esp loved the bean salad..lol...Anyway..The best Harolds is at 47th and Greenwood in the city. But like I said, its a rough area, so be careful!!
