There is a place in Joliet called Chicken-N-Spice. It's been around forever, and I hear nothing but good things about the place. I'll have to check it out some time.

Del Rheys is a little better than WFF imo. They serve Old Style for like $1.75. They also have a sandwich that has a fried pork tenderloin, bacon and ham on brioche with jack cheese that is so HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

I agree that Harold's is the best fried chicken. Probably the best in the whole world. They fry it in a veg oil/beef tallow mix. The best Harold's are in neighborhoods with no white people FWIW. I've never had a bad Harold's experience though.

I've only had Popeye's once and it was not good. Probably just a bad experience, I'll go back eventually.

KFC Hot Wings with hotsauce...good as hell

Popeye's regular spicy chicken and sides are better imo

I remember eating Popeyes about 3 years ago and threw up at night it was horrible! Vomit was coming out of my nose and my insides were on fire. Drinking Gatorade made me feel a bit better the next 2 days after I vomited. I will never eat Popeyes ever again.

Popeyes crushes KFC. For me, it isn't even a debate. Spicy strips with some BBQ sauce, dirty rice, a biscuit and some sweet tea. I'm all in, son.
