First off, who has the tiebreaker now that the Sixers/Bulls season series is tied? We still have a shot at this 6th spot. Just have to keep winning.

I believe it is conference record, as Kush mentioned in his latest podcast. They need to lose out and we need to win out to get the tie breaker. It could happen considering the rest of their schedule is Cleveland twice, Boston and Toronto. I still find it unlikely though.

I'll say it again, I don't see the sixers winning another game all year including the playoffs. They are like a marathon runner who broke his leg in the last mile, they just can't finish the race.

I agree. I just don't see Philly winning any other game other than Toronto game and I even see that as doubtful.

Bulls need to not lose more than 1 and philly doesn't win more than 1, then we can get the 6th seed.

Let's hope we don't lose more tahn 1 and Philly doesn't win more than 1. ;)

I like our chances.

Philly owns the tiebreaker. They've already clinched it. It's conference record, and in any scenario where we finish tied they'd own the better conference record.

Their magic number is two, so if we lose one and they win one they're the sixth seed. We only have a one game margin.

Wow we only turned the ball over ten times, not bad at all. It was great to see Theo Ratliff and Donyell Marshall get playing time.

I just saw the standings. You are right.

I just hope that Bulls win out and go 42-40 and control their own destiny. I don't care what seed we are as long as we keep winning and go into the playoffs with winning momentum and a new winning attitude.

The Cavs are just too good to beat, period. But I believe we have a chance against Boston if Garnett isn't healthy and isn't as effective.

The Magic as a collective team lack experience in the playoffs. However, the Bulls still have some key players from the playoff teams under Skiles ... as well as Rose and Noah who have very recent big game experience in the NCAA finals.

Miller, Salmons, and Tim Thomas provide that veteran swagger and confidence needed in the playoffs as well.

It may not be much of a chance, but if the Bulls grab the 6th or 7th seed, I'll be very very very slightly slightly slightly optimistic ;)

I'm not particularly rooting for the 6th seed, except that I like to see the team do well. I don't think getting to 6th and drafting one slot later really helps us any in the long run vs getting 7th or 8th.

The sixth is so unlikely I don't even want to think about the possibility. Then if it magically happens I can be overjoyed. If I think about it too much I'll be disappointed with 7th.

I would like them to get the 6th seed because I don't want to play Boston. I would like to play Orlando, but I guess there's still a chance Orlando can get the two seed over Boston.

Well if Philly losses out, and the Bulls go 2-1, they could get the 6th seed. I mentioned on my show that Cleveland might not go all out in that last game against Philly, but I forgot they only have a 1-game lead on the Lakers for homecourt in the NBA Finals. And the Lakers hold the tiebreaker. So the Cavs still have a lot to play for.

I dont think the 6 seed is out of reach at all. Philly has a nasty 4 game stretch to end the season. Meanwhile, the bulls only have 3 games, left, 2 of which are at home.

However, if we don't get the 6 seed, it won't bother me at all. I figure our odds to upset boston are about the same as our odds of upsetting orlando.

Just as long as we dont have to see cleveland.

I still want to see Cleveland.

That being said, Cleveland beats Philly. 6 combined games left between the Bulls and 76ers and Philly needs a total of 2 wins or bulls losses. A lot will depend on if the final game against the Cavs means anything for Cleveland.

They also have a real good shot at beating the Raptors on the road. The Bulls have a pretty good chance of losing to the Pistons on the road as well.

The Lakers play on the road at Portland tonight, and a loss might make the finale meaningless for Cleveland, and Portland is good enough to potentially win at home against the Lakers for sure.

There is also the interesting possibility that if the Bulls, Pistons, and 76ers end up tied, we'd win the three way tie breaker if we beat the Pistons.

There's probably at least a 25% chance that if we had won either of those games against Miami where we had the ball, a tie, and less than 24 seconds on the game clock, that we'd be the 5th seed this year.

I knew those games would come back to haunt us.

With the Lakers loss to the trailblazers there's now a good chance that Cleveland's final game is meaningless against Philly and that they will now rest players.

It comes down to the Cavs game against Boston on Sunday. So if the Cavs lose at home to the C's, they will still only be up 1 in the loss column on L.A. the Lakers have two games left at home against Mem and UTH. I'm thinking if the Cavs lose to Boston they will still have to try and win those last two to finish 68-14 to the Lakers possible 67-15. Just because LA has the tiebreaker.

All Cleveland has to do is beat Boston Sunday and @Indy Mon and they clinch homecourt throughout. Then the last Philly game would be meaningless. Still a slight chance the game will mean something for Cleveland.

I think playing Orlando would be better based on that's the team we can most likely sneak a win on the road.

I just saw this about Garnett

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4061008

He's just going to play the final regular season game. So the Cavs will probably beat the C's at home without KG, then beat Indy on Monday. So that would wrap up homecourt throughout the NBA Finals. Making the final game against Philly at home meaningless. Unless they really care about tying the all-time best record at home :silly:
