I know his rookie season, many thought Taj could be a SF, but he is not good at playing the perimeter. He's a banger and only in a pinch, will he play the 3 as a starter.

Uh, Taj is a pure PF, why would you want to move him to SF? He's too slow and doesn't shoot well enough from the perimeter to be a 3. Butler is a SF who can play the 2, Taj is a PF who can play at Center.

Switch Kirk to SG and Jimmy to SF, and you're on to something. I haven't seen enough from Snell to decide whether he's better at SG or SF, but he has decent ball handling skills, so SG might work.

For some reason I doubt the validity of this statement

somebody posted the +/- stats on realgm of lineups and the Rose/Kirk duo was brutal

do we even want to resign hinrich? is he worth bringing back? his shot is broke and hes always injured...i'd rather offer him a office job and look else where for a better/more reliable back up point guard

i guess for the min he wouldn't be too bad...but i'd rather get somebody else

+/- isn't always the best stat, but I suppose it has some merit at times. I don't remember the Rose/Hinrich backcourt being used much, but I never remember it being terrible. If anything it gave us two ball handlers on the floor at the same time which is what we lack.

But...perhaps DJ Augustin can replace Hinrich seamlessly. He shoots just as bad from the floor and seems to move the ball around well enough. Just gotta see if he can play good defense.

I'll also say, as far as backup PGs go, Hinrich is one of the most reliable ones...or so say people around the league. Maybe they're all dumb. Whatever happened to Hinrich's shot in Atlanta though...whoo man that messed him up good. And he wasn't even great to begin with. He does always seem to find a way to get that 3pt% up to around 37-39% though which is right where we need it to be.
