Being on the glass is fun once, and that's it.

It's better to be elevated a little bit to oversee the entire ice surface.

I think if you are behind the goal line you are good to go, but anywhere else on the glass you can't see the game and you get the fishbowl effect. Really there are only about 10 - 20 seats on the glass that I would sit in, and that is taking both ends into account.
