Other than that, I don't particularly like documentaries like "The War" because to tackle the ocean of a topic that is WWII, I've found the films that seem to do it best focus and dissect on a singular or just a couple aspects of it. To try and cover most or all of it, it's just spreading yourself too thin and you're bound to leave extremely important things out of it, whether due to being unaware or simply because of logistical reasons.
I like those too. But Ken Burns does good work.
If it's just a general "time-line" type thing, I'm sure it would show an interesting perspective or unique footage of key turning points.
Yeah, his specials re lengthy, but I'll probably DVR it and give it a shot.
