OK, yes we're in the Chicago area.

I have gotten jobs/interviews with her resume help. Lately it's been tough but I don't think it's my resume.

It is not.

It is this nasty economy.

Everyone is down, everyone is hurting. It is sad, but this is where cream rises to the top, if you are afraid to step on toes and hurt feelings of others you will be hanging out with the rest of the millions fighting for jobs. you gotta go for it! thats all I can say. put on horse blinders my friend.

Should I write my resume in crayon or colored markers?

This is something I may consider when I actually do go look for a new job.

I might just have my dad help me with mine this summer... Mostly because I don't have 250 bucks to drop on a good one.

Ya, its tough to swallow but im gong to do it.

Ive been getting advice from pro recruiters on twitter and thevve all said that it is a good investment and the good writers typically charge $250-$500.

If it ends up helping me land a bad ass job its a very reasonable price.

I absolutely agree that it would be a good investment. If that lands you a good job, it'll pay for itself within a few weeks.

And I don't even have that much to put on a resume to being with, so to pay 250 bucks for one job and a few volunteer things and my education would hardly be worth it, imo.
