Zing.

"I was asked about that, actually, yesterday, and I don't really comment on people who aren't really around and just want five minutes of fame," Pronger said. "But I will say that, if you're going to make a comment like that five minutes after you win the Stanley Cup, you've probably got better things to worry about."

And, Pronger added, "Did he play?"

Burish did not dress for Game 6.

"There you go," Pronger said.

Q. He said next time he sees you he's going to hit you.

Pronger: "Where's that, in the minors?"
Pronger is expecting to be in the minors next year? How far they fall...
Stu, come on now. I know if you interperet exactly how it's quoted it sounds like that, but it's quite obvious he's basically saying "how's he going to be hitting me when he's in the minors."

I still don't know why Burish would say that. Pretty fucking stupid there, Burish will barely be remembered by Hawks fans let alone anyone else in the league. Pronger probably absolutely led that team to the Cup and played his ass off, no matter how he went about it he had a hell of a playoffs. I'm not a Pronger fan either, but Burish just needs to shut his trap on that one and show some class. Too bad Pronger didn't say, "Sorry, I couldn't here Adam with my Norris trophy and Ring in my ear."

I can understand anyone wearing a Hawk's jersey not having any love whatsoever for Pronger. After all, he is a complete asshole.

But what Burish did was stupid.

Made no sense to me.

Burish should have stayed quiet or just said that he's too busy enjoying the Cup to think about Donger. When a 4th line scrub talks shit about an elite veteran, it's usually the 4th liner who will be looking bad in the end. But doubt Burish cares.

I'd say Pronger was quite the quick witted one, but the "I don't plan on playing in the minors" comeback has already been used before. I gotta find the first time it was used...

I could give a shit. Pronger is an ass.

The 4th line scrub now has his name on the Cup exactly the same amount of times the "elite veteran" does.

Pronger probably stole the game puck again.

Zing.

Blah, had that been a 4th line, 5 min a game, and a scratch for more than two of the Cup games Canuck, Flyer or Wang saying that about Buff or someone on our team we'd be all over them.

Who cares. I wouldn't care if it were the other way around.

WE WON THE FUCKING CUP!!! WHO GIVES A FLYING **** ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE?

Pronger is a crosschecking, cry baby, fucking hack. He whined so much to the officials this series I'm sure he changed his TAMPON several times per game.

Did Pronger play in game 5? Yea he was on the ice for 6 of 7 goals and in the box for the 7th. Elite all the way!

Sorry, I don't consider Pronger an "Elite Player" in the sense that he is a much more talented player on the ice than others. He might have been earlier in his career, but he showed that if his hack play of his slow ass now is called for penalties, it takes him out of his game. Game 5 showed just how slow he really is and when you use speed against his "Elite- as in able to get away with murder" Ass...he is worthless.

Then in game 6, two quick penalties for him again trying to use his illegal tactics of taking peoples heads off and rearranging spines wasn't going to be tolerated, he again became a non factor. One assist, one point, and a +1 doesn't bold well for an elite player when his team is on the verge of elimination.

Pronger showed the world what a true ass he is and why he is a cancer in the locker room.

It makes for great story lines.

I doubt Burish is back, but if he is, when the Flyers meet the Hawks, it's gonna be fun.

I would be VERY surprised to see Burish back...especially after this dumb comment. I was a Burish bandwagoner, but jumped off that sinking ship awhile back...

While he does provide Hawks fans with some entertaining moments I think he's gone as well. Regardless of the comments, the team showed they can win with him out of the lineup in the finals.

I agree. It will most certainly have nothing to do with the comments but he's probably gone for a less expensive option. He brought a spark without a doubt, but the talent pool is just to far ahead of him.

What are you going to get for around 800K for an energy player? I say he's back with a 10% raise.

That would be the ONLY reason he's back; if he gets nearly the same $$ he made this year. However, as stated, the team showed it can win without him.

Yeeeah, love Burish and all but Pronger got the best of that...

@tvltre: Not sure what you were watching but Pronger was a force on Philly as he has been on every team he has played for.

Burish is a little *****. And once again made an ass of himself. Reminds me of those tiny dogs that weigh 1 1/2 pounds and never stops barking.

Yes, Pronger is a huge ass too, but this time his response was spot on.
