Pronger's reply to Burish

What Burish said was stupid but they were words. What Pronger does to his opponents, with all his hacking and whacking, shows even more of a lack of respect IMO. Think about it, slashing a guy's wrists, crosschecking him between the shoulders, or smack taking to the media?? Pronger said a whole lot of classes things during his media pressers and basically treated the people who cover him and his sport like shit. What made it worse was the media just laughed it off instead of calling him out, and yet they so quick to jump all over Burish? Gimme a break!



In a larger sense remember when guys on All Star teams wouldn't talk to each other because of the hatred between them? Now everybody loves everybody else. It'll never go back to the way it was thanks to free agency and all the money but I don't mind a little hate being put back into the game.

THE QUESTION SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ASKED. Period. The Hawks just won the cup and the fucking hack media's first question to Burish is about PRONGER? Pronger? We're talking about Pronger?! (thanks Iverson)... They should have asked him about how it feels after all he's been through to win the cup, should have asked him how it felt as a role player with a specific role, to win the cup. BUT NO, all the media, like all series, cared about was pronger, and they baited him and he was flying so high from just winning the cup that he took the bait. Was it stupid? Yes, but they just won the cup and you feel invincible so you are going to say anything you damn well please. Give the guy a break, he may have not dressed but he was very much needed in the playoffs.

From a fan's standpoint, no the question should not have been asked, but the media lives on controversy and ratings. The fact that people around the league are still talking about this is a win for the media and the person who asked the question, plain and simple.

Pronger deserved to be called out out by the media for his Type A(hole) behavior during the Finals. CBC's PJ Stock was one of the few media people I even heard questioning his antics, but even he gave him a pass because of his on-ice play. All the Hawks and half the Flyers feel the same as Burish does towards Crissy.



Pronger is an ASSHOLE!
