Anyone know if on the ps4 you will be able to talk to your friends in a party even if you are playing different games. For example, I am playing fifa and my buddy is playing madden but we can talk in a party together...

Yep, the PS4 has cross-game chat.

If some of you guys haven't looked more into PC Gaming I'd highly recommend it.

It's not expensive as it once was, you'll usually get a better experience (dependent on your hardware), and services like Steam, Good Old Games, Green Man Gaming, and others have driven prices down while adding a lot of value in other ways.

You also have more choice of your control method, your hardware, your software, etc.

EDIT: Oh and with PS4 and XboxOne finally being based on x86 architecture fewer games are going to be console only (which has already becoming more and more rare, there hasn't been a single game I've really wanted to play that I had to get a console for since Dark Souls, which came to PC eventually anyway)

I agree with Shifty in that PC gaming can be pretty awesome if you are a bit tech savvy (or alot) and you have some money for building a nice rig.

I subscribe to both PC and Console gaming though.... I have my Xbox 360 setup in my theater room with a big screen and surround sound.... then I have my gaming rig setup at my desk with my nice chair.... I guess I have always used them for different types of games and different atmospheres....

I think you could make the argument a PC can play virtually any game easily since it has the power and you can hookup console controllers to a PC, but I would never want to try to play an RTS on a Console....

I like both for different stuff.... Mass Effect on my Xbox in my theater room.... Total War on my PC in my command chair... :D

PS4 with cross game chat might just sell me on it

I've had at least one console from every generation since the NES. I still like consoles.

Just really annoyed with Microsoft and how they're handling the new Xbox. Either they're idiots and can't handle PR, or they're assholes and dicking customers.

If the PS4 has non Special person policies I'll buy one, mostly because I still like Gran Turismo.
