I'd want Albert Pujols. Older, but better player. Fielder is good, but Pujols is legendary.

Either one would be great. But Fielder is younger and Ramirez is probably coming back next year so it would be good to have a right and lefty that will hit 30+ homers batting 3 and 4

Give me Fielder.

Younger, cheaper, and the left handed power bat we have been seeking forever.

If the Cubs are not ready to contend next year, why not?

Neither. Realistically neither one will come to this shitty organization unless they are just about the money.

Give it up. face the facts. Cubs will only get cheap free agents. I have realized that and so should everyone else. Signing one of these guys is just a pipe dream at this point

Time to wake up and smell the shittyness that is the Cubs organization. Sorry folks just the truth

Money is the biggest factor where a free agent signs. Granted if the Cubs or a contender are offering the same deal, the free agent will likely go to the contender. But this idea that guys won't come here because of their record this year is crazy.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he'll make up for it with his bat. I hear he hits the ball well.

Fielder.
