What is he suppose to say? We all know that they aren't going anywhere, but I don't see the harm in having a manager preparing the team like they are still in it. And as I said before if the Cubs win 20 games like the A's in 02 then they would be right back in this thing...

Stranger thing have not happened with a team this far under .500 making it to the playoffs at this point in the year. Now I still ask what is Quade suppose to say to the media and his team at this point. Well we completely suck and there is no reason for us to show up to the ballpark might be sending the wrong message even if it is true.

Yeah, at this point with the team sucking so bad everything Quade does or says is going to sound ridiculous even if he is technically correct.

Correct. They stormed to the top and everyone else went cold. Granted they had pretty solid pitching and a decent lineup, but nothing's out of the realm of possibility in baseball.
