That is highly unlikely. I'm sure Skip Bayless is cueing up his "Well, he got that one, but that was a strike-shortened season. And that doesn't count."

does anyone else remember when lebron was always matched up with the wizards in the first round?

i distinctly remember in that series how he came up with huge buckets late to win the games

just pointing that out there, i feel like it's never talked about(which is understandable because it has to do with the first round)

I found something I wrote 2 years ago on another forum regarding LBJ and choking.. this is when I used to defend LBJ A LOT.:

The examples you gave shows why LBJ ISN”T a choker. You can’t take one bad series performance and label someone a choker..

LeBron’s rookie year: Missed the playoffs
LeBron’s second year: Missed the playoffs

Lebrons third year:
1st playoff game ever: 32 points, 11 asts, 11 rbds. 12-27 shooting
Closed it out in the first round with 32/7/7 15-25 shooting

Lost the second round in game 6.
Game 6 performance: 27 points 8 rebounds 2 assists 11-24 shooting

LeBron’s 4th year:
Closed out the first round in 4 with- 31 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 8-22 shooting
Closed out second round in 6 with- 23 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 8-20 shooting
Closed out third round in 6 with- 20 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists, 3-11 shooting. [game 5 against the pistons that series, he had 25 straight points at the end of the game]
Finals- Cavs never stood a chance

LeBron’s 5th year:
Closed out the first round in 6 with- 27 points, 13 rebounds, 13 assists
Lost second round in 7 with: 45 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists

LeBron’s 6th year:
Closed out the first round in 4 with- 36 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists
Closed out the second round in 4 with- 27 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists
Lost 3rd round in 6 with- 25 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists. [averaged 38.5/8/8 for the series]

So other then this year, LeBron came up huge in the last game of every series. So after one bad series [more like 3 bad games outta 6] LBJ is considered a choker?

“The point is, in my opinion LeBron can be labeled as a choker this year because for the 2nd time in a row his team has not exceeded expectations”

You said it right there. His TEAM has not exceeded expectations. People that just want to blame LeBron for all of the losses are gonna say shit like “Why weren’t you blaming his teammates in the regular season when the cavs were winning? They’re a great supporting cast, but come playoff time it’s all their fault?” Actually…it kind of is. LeBron can almost never afford an off night in the playoffs, or his team will lose. Why? Because EVERYONE on that team looks LeBrons way when they need a play and they all look scared when they need to make a big play. Last night, Mo came up huge in the first half. Second half? Shot 1-8 had a total of 2 points. Where was Jamison? Where was their “great” bench?

4 games that the cavs lost last year to the magic
Game 1:
LeBron- 49 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 20-30 shooting
Mo- 17 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 6-19 shooting
West- 11 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, 4-13 shooting
Varejao- 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 6-8 shooting
Z- 10 points, 10 rebounds, 5-11 shooting
BENCH- 5 points, 2-7 shooting.

Game 3:
LeBron-41 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, 11-28 shooting
Mo- 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 5-16 shooting
West- 12 points, 1 rebounds, 3 assists, 5-11 shooting
Varejao- 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1-2 shooting
Z- 9 points, 9 rebounds, 3-10 shooting
BENCH- 8 points, 4-11 shooting

Game 4 was similar to that, and in game 6, Mo and west FINALLY showed up… but they still lost because Howard had 40 points…

Does LeBron have a good supporting cast? Yes. Has he had a good supporting cast in the past? Ehh decent but not as good as this year. Has his supporting cast shown up in the playoffs? No…

Dwight howard couldn’t play much in the CHA series because of foul trouble. What happened? The Magic swept the Bobcats cuz Howards teammates stepped it up. Kobe didn’t have a good 1st game against the Thunder. Gasol and Bynum both had solid games to help lead the Lakers to victory. LeBron has a bad game against boston and.. well.. the cavs are shit out of luck.

And how does losing to a team that’s better than you mean you’re a choker? Other than this year, I think the cavs have ended their playoff run against a team that was better than them. You say the Cavs/LeBron choked against the C’s a couple of years ago. Ummm the Celtics won the title that year and they were clearly a better team than the Cavs. If the cavs won that series, Boston would have choked. When they lost to the spurs, pistons and the magic, they lost to teams that were better than they were. Even though they won more games than the magic, the magic were still clearly a better team. You can even make a case for that this year. When boston is healthy, they are VERY capable of beating anyone in the leage. They won 61 last year. The same amount of game the cavs won this year. But the C’s dealt with a lot of injures this year, that’s why they only won 50. Now they’re healthy and look like a 60 win team.

So no… LBJ isn’t a choker

But seriously there is only one thing I don't like about Lebron and it's his attitude/way he presents himself. It's like every time he does something to make me think he changed, he goes and does something that knocks my opinion of him down again. I'm a Lebron hater because of his attitude. I know he's the best player in the league and that he really isn't that much of a choker. But it's fun to call him one to be a troll
