So I consider myself a pretty solid employee where I work. I have my complaints but I do my job well. So anyway, we have this new guy who is just frothing at the mouth to do "new and exciting things" in the department, probably prove his worth, and is subtly trying to upstage the rest of us who have been there a while. That's all par for the course.
But he pitched the idea we all go to a conference this coming weekend. 3 days, 8-5, Friday to Sunday. Our boss, mercifully, said no. So he went over her head. And the big boss said yes. Now we all have to go and I have no weekend to look forward to. Is it wrong for me to hate him?
