Rahm for Mayor.....NOT!!!!!

Money on the politically connected winning their point. I don't agree with but the stakes are high and

their is way too much power to be lost if Rahm does not get his way. Chicago politics has a full court

press in Springfield.

Which candidate do you suppose is funding the Lawyer fighting all of this? He of course said he would not divulge and did not have to divuldge that information.

You know damn well it's the other candidates because they know they can't win against the guy if he's on the ballot. And of course Cook County controls Springfield. It dwarfs every other county in this State and always has. Southern Illinois hates Chicago and Cook County.

Hell Cook County alone got the putz Gov elected!

We need Kennedy back.......

"Ask not what your country do for you but what you can do for your country."

Obama and the current administration plays to the opposite belief.

Just as the previous administration did. Nothing changes. Party affiliation means very little and has for decades. They like to say it does but clear record shows it doesn't.

I dislike Pelosi but I do not know why?????????? Seriously? The most disliked person in all of Congress and

you ask a ridiculous question like that?

I do not like Rahm and I do know why also. Where would I begin????

You are correct about the individuals runnning for Chicago Mayor. Who are the lesser of the evils?

Carol Mosely, really? Actually a contender? I only care who is Mayor because it has huge implications

for our entire state.

Which is why Rahm would be the best of the choices. I don't give a **** as once my kid graduates I'm OUT of IL. No matter what.

Do you mean Nancy (we have to pass this health care bill so we can find out what's in it) Pelosi?

Illinois Supreme Court hands down UNANIMOUS decision on Rahm. He will be on the ballot. The lower court had no legal basis for what they did and IL Law is clear on Residency which Rahm set years ago.

No surprise.

my opinion: whoever is the next mayor,Braun, Chico, Rahmmy, Debbie Fuckin' Gibson, will be a one and done. You can't follow a legend, and like him or not, Daley is a legend. The next mayor is gonna have to do some damn unpopular shit, and I think it would be almost a miracle if they are re-elected.

I seriously doubt Rahm will be one and done.

And the next Mayor will undoubtedly dig into the current parking fiasco so I'm sure that will be very popular.

Yeah you beat me too it. Rahm is way too rich, way too connected, and way too powerful to be a one and done. Only a scandal would take him out. He's asshole enough to shape things up a bit and set agendas instead of follow them. let's just hope he has a good one.

It's worth giving the guy a shot. Out of the other candidates there does not seem to be a "winner" among them. I'm not saying Rahm is a winner but he brings bridges to the position none of these other candidates have or can/will create.

I agree, I think Rahm could make it to another term if elected. the parking thing was a clusterfuck to begin with, and i dont see it getting sorted out anytime soon.

Complaining about Chicago politics is like complaining about the weather. It's not going to change and it usually sucks.

Not living in the city, my opinion on this doesn't really mean shit - but I have to agree with you here, Mass. Is he the best? Meh... I do get the feeling his willing to make some decisions to help the city, which may not be popular with the current "machine" in place.
