Too bad. First half of year he wont try...then he will start hitting in august and september:yep:

Why does this nonsense have to be repeated? I get that he wasn't easy to like but why do we have to fabricate this story about selective production as if a guy is capable of just turning it on at one point and being a dominant player.

For many people that is the absolute truth, and it gets old. If that was sarcasm, I must admit my detector was a little off.

i think its easier to have the players just move and sign as free agents in the offseason..but wouldnt it have been interesting to have some ramirez=fielder deal..issue with that is we'd probably have to give up players and picks that we may not have to if fielder simply is signed and not traded here

A direct trade would never have happened because Fielder is simply better than Ramirez and the Cubs would pretty much have to give up the farm at that point, but you've already sort of addressed that.
