I don't think I would have a problem with adding any of those guys.

Maybe we're going heavy d line this draft.

One of today's most candid moments was Fox/Pace getting quiet when asked if they had any 5-techs. Guess what else is deep in draft? #Bears

In the first round? Not that many. Maybe Armstead but he might be a bit of a reach at #7.

I read that Fairley visited St. Louis which struck me as odd. I thought DT was one position where they have no big need. They need help on the O Line, not the D Line.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. Houston Rockets
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Oklahoma Sooners
There will be good DTs available in the 2nd rd if we go DE or WR in the first rd.

The Bears obviously need to field a team and they're limited in the number of draft picks they have so with that I don't care. I'm not looking at signing the best guy to help the Bears win games. I'd rather find a UDFA to come in and compete and develop than an also ran veteran. I'm looking to build not compete at any cost and that doesn't even mean financial cost, roster spot reps in practice and even game time. Simply get younger and find players to compete.

Possible 5 techniques

Arik Armstead (1st-2nd) 6'7" 292lbs
Preston Smith (2nd) 6'5" 272lbs.
Henry Anderson (3rd) 6'6" 290lbs.

I think you could add Mario Edwards from FSU to that list as well as a second or third round option.

I really wish I didn't see that stupid mock that had Williams dropping to 8....I need to stop hoping that he'll make it to 7...that would be insane!

yeah ive seen some scenarios where he may drop. you never know, especially if theres an early run at olb and wr. say winston and mariota go 1-2.. then throw in a tackle..then who knows

I couldn't think of a better scenario for the Bears. Williams would be the anchor of Fangio's D and he would move him all over the line. Williams, McPhee, Houston, Jones, Ratliff, Ego\Sutton would be a damned nasty physical front.

i guess it depends on if they run a 1 gap. then it really changes who can play where. you may have - ego rat houston etc etc
