.@RapSheet on where #Bears' job ranks.

"From candidates I've spoken with, it's considered top-half, probably top-3. Most of it is positive. One of the things about being the Bears, it's sorta like being the Giants. It's always gonna be top-tier. You have a young quarterback."

.@RapSheet told 670 The Score that he expects #Bears GM Ryan Pace to get a contract extension to match the new coach's deal.

.@RapSheet on what candidates think of Trubisky:

"At worst, he's Andy Dalton. That contract (per year) is worse than what Mike Glennon got. They (coaches) think he can turn into a top-10. No one has been turned off by the #Bears' job based off Trubisky."

Fucking Rapaport sourcing me now.:smug2:
As for Pace, an extension to match his HC hire is more likely than a firing and something I would not be opposed to happening.

Right? I was saying the exact same thing.

I can't wait for Vash to come in and tell me how much Ian Rapoport is also a hack in addition to Greg Gabriel for saying that Mitch trubisky is not a turn off in terms of people who are perspectives head coaches

A lot of haters will be pissed about this.
At least we won't have to read anymore DaaBears Fox apologist threads

well, it's rapoport....i'll take whatever he and schefty say at the highest value amongst all the other nfl talking heads.

regarding the extension, it just makes sense. pace needs to hit a home run with his coaching hire.

les snead was about to get fired with fisher last year, but the rams stuck with him....and now he's the belle of the ball after the mcvay hire and with the team making the playoffs. i'm all about the rams model.....really hoping pace mirrors their mcvay-wade combo with something like nagy-pagano.

Aren't the drafted rookie contracts pretty much set in stone now and only the timing of the signing bonus up for negotiation?

he’s saying dalton’s contract is worse than glennon’s. basically saying bears have as good a qb as cincy and are in a better financial situation at the same time.

All anyone would have to do is watch any Bengals game at random from this season to now the Cinci job is unappealing.

An extension for Pace would be the final piece in the puzzle to compete for the top candidates.
Good FA money
Good draft position
Good young QB
Support from ownership (Pace extension)
Large Market
New practice facities

I’m hoping for a Nagy or Shurmur type hire, and if they extend Pace then there are a lot of good reasons to accept an offer from the Bears.

It's really all the Bears can do at this point, unless the Kingster is interested in going full nuclear . . .
