The title thread is in jest, it's not literal, it's the point that even if McDonald had stayed out of trouble a couple of months ago for child endangerment and assault the Bears would have had to cut him today for this sexual assault charge. That despite whatever bullshit homework or background check the Bears did on McDonald he was indicted for the incident in December.
Essentially it's mud on their face a second time, that despite the incident during his brief tenure in Chicago, McDonald was never truly cleared from the sexual assault. This essentially brings the embarrassing incompetence of his signing full circle and already puts Pace in the cross hairs barely eight months into the job.
