Better off hitting garage sales and estate sales when it comes to collecting vinyl.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Sometimes you just gotta know where to look. Even smack in the middle of Hipster Central I can still find cheap vinyl.

Agree.
I also love going into Chicago and digging there.
The 'burbs have a few spots, but the prices are insane. I had a stack of old LPs I wanted to buy that I knew were collecting dust for years, and the old fart behind the counter blurted out "Eight bucks each."
I responded "More like 8 dollars total, right? I know these records haven't moved in years."
"Eight bucks each."
For that much I made sure he filed them back himself.

My Dad still has my Mom's vinyl collection. 2000+ records, too bad most of it is compilations; Elvis, ABBA, Christmas stuff, C &W and religious/gospel and some new age crap. Someday I'll probably have to dig through it with my brothers and sisters. Might be a few gems in there.

Was just about to reference my own father's vinyl collection. I can't put a number on hit, but he's got two shelves that are about 8 feet wide completely stocked. Not to mention an insane number of 45s.

He's got the Super Bowl Shuffle on vinyl. It's great.

The only records I own is a framed Pink Floyd box set. I grew up listening to shitty country music on Vinyl if that counts for anything.
