RD1 will never come to PC. But RDR2 is gon come to PC, probably in about a year. There is talk that the ps5 will have backwards compatibility, but who know how far back that will go. Especially since, apparently ps3 architecture was a pain in the ass.

I'm in the same boat. Bummed I never got to play RDR1 but I think its just never gon happen unless I buy an xbox.

Yo, I played this game all day today. Its fucking amazing. Played all day and barely advanced the story at all. Just been running around getting distracted by all the random shit that pops up everywhere. Stole a badass horse, fucked up some outlaws, rode some lady home, killed some lepers, got some elk, watched the sunrise, shot up a hillbilly camp, almost got robbed by some creepy **** in the forest, gave some blind dude some money, lassoed some **** out of a river... This game is insane.

Apparently we can play rd1 on ps4 via that PlayStation club membership or whatever it's called. You can stream old games but I guess the frames drop alot since it's streamed.

It's tremendous -- great presentation, fantastic voice acting and narrative, varied gameplay that doesn't come across as tedious. Absolutely fantastic. Rockstar does it better than everyone else.

First game for me where just wandering in the open world, not even doing anything is fun. Shit, every now and then you come up over a hill or out of some tress and the vista is like holy ****. I have roamed the back country of most western states (except texas) and they totally capture it in this game.

This game is a masterpiece. I don't even know how many hours I'm gon spend in it.

I played this game all day.

Couple things struck me.

First, if you absolutely know you are gon play this game, then don't read anything about it. Except for mechanics tips, avoid all press. This game is such a narrative experience, basically everything is a spoiler.

Second, I'm not sure this game is really going to be for everyone. Its not really an action game. More of a cowboy sim. Everything you do is methodical and slow as shit. The game world feel alive and I think you are meant to lose yourself in the landscape and the comings and goings of the inhabitants. The gameplay loops are very long. I think the whole package is pretty incredible, but is a pretty atypical gaming experience.

Seems like a game suited for the PC demographic. Weird that they launched console-only.
