I haven't been much of a gamer as my former nerdy self, but I'm not even ashamed to say that Red Dead Redemption is THAT good that makes me want to stay inside during a nice day.

I just got to Mexico and am still on the hunt for Williamson :( My beating the game will be delayed since I am going to Chicago for a week!

You shouldn't be ashamed either way. Playing games doesn't make you a nerd. That's a myth.

Are they're still nerds that play games? Sure. But to say playing games makes you a nerd or you have to be ashamed about it, I couldn't disagree more.

It's like people who still think playing games is a thing for kids. The video game industry made about 21 billion dollars in 2008. That isn't just 12-year-olds supporting a 21 billion dollar industry. I have this argument with my wife frequently.

As for RDR, I'm finally getting into the good stuff.

At first I was kinda bored with hit. Herding cattle, breaking horses. Was this Read Dead Redemption or City Slickers The Game?

But now I'm getting into it.

I just entered Mexico. I like the game but I just have too much other stuff going on to play.

I completely agree. I play video games a whole lot and im far from a nerd. Games help me take my mind off of problems and actually save me money since im at home less and not blowing money on drinks and food. If not for games, i probably would have gotten into a hell of a lot of trouble growing up.

Oh and whats the shelf life looking like for this game? Everyone i know is raving about it but i really dont know if i want to spend the 60 bucks on it. I want a game thats gonna last for me.

To be honest, the multiplayer is good, but not something you could play all the time like COD.

I finished the campaign, so now I am going to do all the side missions and get 100% completion, then ill trade it in

Im basically just achievement hunting and trying to get 100% game completion...im at 73.5%

LOL no problem. No man I umpire little league games and there have been a ton of rain outs that are being made up at the same time so I've been busy.

BTW... You and me have very similar gamerscores. My gamertag is son of culbert you should add me.

I somehow misread and missed the "son of" part of your GT.

I typed in Culbert and got some dude in Ireland. LOL

I just got into Blackwater - Act 3. I'm pretty sure it's the last part of the game. I'm going to try and finish it tonight/tomorrow morning. I love it though.

Actually I just beat the main story line. I won't spoil it but I loved the entire game. Hopefully you guys enjoyed as much as I did.

That new patch for Red Dead lowered the XP awarded for doing the multiplayer gang hide-outs.
