Red Total Lunar Eclipse

The sky is supposed to be clearest around 3AM in the Chicagoland area, if you happen to be awake, and this would likely be the optimal time to view it. A very rare red moon lunar eclipse.

Starts around 1:30AM Central, but I doubt it will be visible. Ends around 4:30AM

Yeah, cosmic sightings in Chicagoland suck period. But again, around 3AM there might be a window to view this one.

I don't know how it is down by you. The eclipse is supposed to return for a few days in some capacity. In Chicago, we might not see it at all, unless the forecast changes, that's why I made a post specific to what we can see. You should check and see what you might have over the next few nights with weather, and check the path, if you can see much of anything too.

It looks pretty sweet. Not as red as I was expecting, but damn the sky is perfect, tons of stars. Sucks for those who have to miss it.

The blood moon returns in October of this year, October 8th to be exact.
