I know people may say, "damn...I want a top draft choice" but I'd rather them win because it's fun to watch.

It is fun to watch. I still want a top draft choice :D

Didn't catch it last night, but saw it on quick pitch this morning. It was funny that later they mentioned that Carlos Marmol could do that as well since this year his fastball has been sitting in the low 90s.

Today's lineup is Castro, Campana, Ramirez, Pena, Byrd, Dewitt, Soto, Colvin. I get that Quade wants to leave Castro in the leadoff spot, and that there is a great option to bat second. However, it seems to be required to have one of the lowest OBP bat second in his lineup. I like Campana getting the start today though, just wish it was batting 9th.

I've argued for a lefty batting second for the development of Castro's running game, but it seems to be a bit of waste to put Campana second. He isn't patient enough to really give Castro time to run, and you put him in front of a guy that likes to swing first pitch in Ramirez. Not to mention he doesn't get on base that much. However, maybe Jaramillo taught him how to hit as evidenced by those actual hard hit balls a couple of days ago. :troll:

Castro has been raking in 1 hole. Campana again needs more AB before we start judging him.

I can somewhat agree but he should not be getting those ABs in arguably the most important spot in the lineup.

Who else should be there today?

therein lies the problem. We don't really have a #2 hitter. Honestly, the guy best-suited for the #2 hole is probably Castro...but he can't bat both. He's diggin' the lead-off spot, so he should stay there. But, if they moved Camp to the leadoff spot for a cpl games and put StarCast @ the 2, I'd be fine w/ that too.

If Campana would turn into a .400 OBP guy, that would solve a few problems.

If any Cub turn into .400 OBP guy that be great. Campana could get in the .350 range and with that speed he could be really nice CF for cubs

Anyone but your worst hitter.

pretty sure Koyie Hill isn't playing today :troll:

But yeah, I know what you're saying...let's just hope we can keep having bad managers use sub-par talent w/ over-paid age and win. Go Cubs.

we need to sign milton bradley on some sort of temp. deal to get him to punch joey votto in the face

:yeah:

and i'd like to keep castro in the lead spot unless we somehow get a leadoff hitter in a trade or in FA..but castro is comfortable in leadoff
