I believe it was 46 in 13 games before today, so this would make it 48 so far. 48 in 14 games. Hopefully it's "and counting" today.

Damn. They'll have to really stall offensively to score my prediction now. I wanted that Billy Williams bobblehead.

Does anybody here know anything about Nicholas Struck? AA Starter, decent start to the season, small sample, dunno if he's a real prospect and I'm just wondering.

The lowish K rate is kinda disappointing. I wonder what his stuff is like. I don't imagine he is very high on the Baseball America list...

I haven't had a chance to watch Struck, but he is certainly a guy I am interested in as well. Unfortunately most projections I have read has his stuff as bottom of the rotation material. His apporach has been pitch to contact, and he has done well in AA so far this year (and last year for that matter as well). His strikeout rate is high right now due to a 10 K performance to start the year, but the past two games he has 6 K which is probably closer to what we should expect out of him.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Good control and a low K/9 usually means 4-5 starter. I'm tagging him and hoping he can be better than Paul Maholm eventually.

My cable went out when Stacey King showed up. Still not back up yet.

BAD LUCK!

Well that was a nice grab by Byrd to keep it a 4 run deficit for the Cubs. 90 days can't come fast enough for Castillo.

Is that the cutoff for him staying on the Cubs 25-man roster?

I am pretty sure that is the rule. 90 days and then he can be stashed on the DL for the rest of the year.

The guys on the ESPN game day conversation think Theo's a moron for not playing Jackson, Rizzo, Vitters, etc. I guess they've never heard of arbitration. :obama:

I wonder if Campana gets any playing time. I doubt it, but it would be fun to see him play since we are going to lose anyway.
