With the obvious lack of talent in Hollywood, we all know they have been remaking many of the classics. Which imo, is a disgrace to many of the originals. I recently saw a list of movies being remade and Im left quite pissed regarding a few. Here is just a few scheduled for possible 2012/2013. Dune. Childs Play. Robocop. Scarface. Highlander. Short Circuit. Mortal Kombat. The Evil Dead. Carrie. Excalibur. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Tomb Raider. Total Recall. The Warriors.
I don't see a problem with remakes of TMNT, Dune, Tomb Raider, and Highlander. Tomb Raider wasn't that good to begin with and I never could watch Dune all the way through because it was a poorly edited non-sensical mess.
I heard Bruce Campbell was doing Evil Dead so that would work.
You don't mess with Scarface. If they tried, I'm sure they would have a terrible acting rapper play Scarface and it would be horrible.
Short Circuit would become a G rated crap kids movie.
I can't imagine them making a better Robocop, but I would give it a chance if done right.
Total Recall is already finished. It's not yet rated, so you know they are trying edit it to get that PG-13 rating which always turns out bad for those types of movies.
The original Chucky doll and actor who did his voice is the only person I would accept. And he has done so many bad and worse sequels not even he could save Childs Play.
And I could care less about Mortal Kombat.
I also heard Stephen King's IT is being remade into two movies for theatrical release.
