yea I know. I don't just make shit up for the sake of making shit up. Unfortunately the few sometimes hurt the whole I guess. Either way I'll just let it come out through the beat guys from now on.

They eventually get it.

Never said you did. If he says he wasn't out, guess he wasn't out then. Never called you anything. Sure as hell looked like he was out, but whatever. He's the luckiest player I've seen that has endured some of the more brutal head hits in the last few seasons and hasn't really missed a whole lot of playing time.

But, but, but he could be just telling everyone he wasn't out so that they won't make him sit out more games... see because if he was out then they'd all start to get worried about him then make him sit and reduce his minutes and then he'd be known as injury prone and his contract is up in 3 years so it's practically a contract year and and and and... trade him for Turris now while we still can.

Uh...good to know RK and where exactly are we going....lol?!?

I don't know. Let me run it by the wife! HA!

And mass I know you were being sarcastic but they make some pretty fail proof base line tests. And unlike Sam Fells article today in the "committed indian" it's almost impossible to fix those. They are random, objective, tests. Not to mention most Concussed individuals show other signs that most medical professionals can pin point.

Thus why Carcillo did not fly to Pitts yesterday. It's fun to make believe and write to people you think you know what you are talking about I suppose. (not you in general of course)

They covered this a bit in 24/7 with the hit on Giroux. There's no way with the league draped all over head-shots that Seabrook faked out a concussion expert. Either he has one (which he'd sit) or not. Looks like he's good to go.

I didn't see your edited post. It went from "Why would I tell you anything" to "He flew with the team to Pittsburgh, he wouldn't if he had a concussion." So.yeah, didn't see that. That's all you had to say in the first place.

BHP I completely agree but then read crap like this.....

I asked who was "faking" their base line test. Examples.

I went over this with Seabrook a couple of seasons ago on what exactly those base line tests were. Impossible to "fake" them! Not a chance.

VS pregame is talking about this right now. Not Seabs but Colby Armstrong hiding or self denying concussion symptoms. VS on NHL Live will talk more about concussions tomorrow night.

For the record, it is not impossible to hide these symptoms from medical professionals. BUT, if you just got hit and they start asking all kinds of questions and 'run the test' on you, it can't be easy to hide them.

It's near impossible to fake the base line tests. No way is it possible.

It is impossible to fake your way through that test. I have seen actual before and after test results of youth players and it's astonishing.

I'll quote one player, Takes initial base line test; "that was the easiest thing ever. Takes test after being diagnosed with concussion; "I couldn't do anything on that test. (breaks down in tears).

It is now mandatory for any player age 13 and up to have a certified base line test prior to their first contact on the ice. Concussions have become a very serious issue in youth hockey; unfortunately it also has become a very big money maker as well.

Not sure how it is with youth hockey but when you get to the professional level there are two types of tests. I chatted with Seabrook about them a couple of years ago. The initial tests are administered in training camp to all players. Both a physical AND cognitive test, which they use as the "base line". Then if concussed or possibly concussed during the season these test are then administered again. The physical one is a bunch of very strenuous excercises, IE the Bike, Running, ect ect. The Cognitive one is where most players get caught up. Concussed or not. Sam Fels suggested in his article that it is, and I'll use his exact words, "Widely known that athletes have fixed these test for years". Well I'm not sure "what athletes" he's been chatting with but where the Hawks are concerned I call direct BULLSHIT. They hate them, and there is NO WAY around both RE TAKING them, and passing them before stepping foot in a full contact scenario.

Toews, Eager, Seabrook, have all been sidelined and taken EXTRA games off in the past due to not being able to pass them on the first few attempts. Hell it took Eager over a month to pass it.
