Well, we know of Przybilla, Humphries, etc. What else do we know thru Chicago Bulls writers & general NBA or ESPN media about who are viable options to fill in that position on the team. We know that the team needs a Kurt Thomas-esq or just general extra big man to join the team.

(i.e., exclude Asik from this. We know what the kid can do. Just asking for vet-min type of options)

Who ya got?

Can't afford Humphries. Joel Pryzbilla or Kwame Brown could be a decent option to back-up Omer. But Pryz has an injury problem.

Kwame signed w/ some dumb team for $7M.

You pretty much said it. I don't see too many options right now. I don't think Scalabrine will bring us much in that emergency situation, but the front office might have settled on running with a limited front-court set.

We also can't ignore the D-League. The odds are 1 in 50 calls ups actually pan out, but with our back against the cap, and no team willing to work deals with us... we have to scout the D-League HARD for that next suitable player as well. We can't just rely on name recognition. And no, I'm not talking Chris Richard.

I would go for that. He's solid.

Pryzbilla, Troy Murphy, Etan Thomas, Elson, Ratliff, & possibly Hilton Armstrong are really the only bigs left, I think, that are vet min guys.

ESPN's got him as an UFA, but I'm not sure their list is up to date.

I guess we gotta do this the old school way. Did Miami use up their MLE? Who else would bring Dampier in. Hmmmm...

Best keep this quiet. I don't want to see stock prices blowing up at the last minute.

isn't that precisely what we're trying to replace KT with?

Kurt thomas did more though. He could hit a mid range jump shot, he set solid screens, good rebounder, etc.

when Noah went down, Thomas did a great job stepping in for him because he was able to do those things.

Dampier can't do shit..which he proved last season with miami

Losing Thomas and Bogans really hurts the Bulls toughness and also affects their defense.

Not completely disagreeing, but not as familiar w/ the situation as you are....

Wasn't Dampier a starter for them? Or isn't that what they wanted him to be?

We're gonna need him for 10 min a game...

Please no Dampier. I hated him when he was in Dallas. He's worthless imo.

I believe he's in Minny right now and has a couple years left on a rather ridiculous deal for his age. I'd want him though, he'd at least do the midrange jump shot thing that KT did, plus a 3 every now and then.

Maybe Troy Murphy? He's kinda been under the radar for a few seasons.

I don't think we need another back up at center unless Noah or Asik get injured.
