Yes, I think you are the only one who doesn't want Bosh. He may not be the greatest PF in the league, but he's WAY better than what we have. I also don't think a pure low post player would work well with Rose. I think a face up guy who can work on the perimeter and play the pick and roll would be better.

Really? I think hes pretty dang close. I do realize that he has a reputation as being "soft" and taking too many jumpers...but Id still consider him a back to the basket, post player. Key is that he can draw some double teams in the paint...opening up others for easy j's.

Skool, would you rather have Bosh or Amare? Im more on the Amare camp because I think hes tougher AND he can be had for a lot less then Bosh.

And also, if Bosh isnt the best fit, who do you define as a "true" post player? Howard? Ming? Shaq :) ?

No doubt Bosh is the number one target to pair with Rose that might be a reasonable addition. If you pair Rose with Bosh to go with Noah and figure out the whole Hinrich, Salmons, Deng, Gordon situation as to who stays and who goes then you are moving in the right direction towards competing against Cleveland for now and the future.

There is a difference between not wanting him and Bosh not being the top PF on your list of PF's you'd like to see on the team. Are you sure you don't want him at all? I could appreciate if you'd prefer Amare' or someone else, but dear lord Bosh would be fantastic on the Bulls.

I have wanted Amare for years. Yea he has his injury concerns but so does Bosh, also the rumors he is a prima donna and a big talker, good we need that kind of player on this team. Amare as you said could be had for much cheaper than Bosh.

I wont cry if we get Bosh but I dont prefer him. I prefer an enforcer type big who can just flat out dominate inside. Bosh is more of an outside/inside player.

That would be Dwight Howard. Last I heard, the Magic are pretty high on him and probably won't trade him.

:cheer:

In all seriousness, I know what you mean, and agree. The dominant paint enforcers are game changers, and historically, have won a lot of titles. Of course, they are far and few, and there seems to be 1 or 2 per decade, max (Howard, Shaq, Wilt, Olajuwon, Duncan (maybe))

I think with the way our team is assembled we need a pf like that. A guy who you can throw the ball into and if doubled teamed can kick it our to our shooters. With Bosh when he gets the ball he is never deep in the paint.

Like someone said beggars can't be choosers.

I really personally don't care if we trade for Bosh or Amare - I just want 1 of those star players to play along side Rose and possibly Gordon and see how good we can be. Gordon has barely played 1 season with 1 good enough big who can score or demand double team and that was Eddy Curry who pretty much never passed out of double team anyways.

I want to see how Gordon can be with a legit threat at 4 spot. It will also help out Rose in a BIG way.

I just hope we can bring in 1 of these stud 4.

Bottom line, I agree with this. You draft truly great post players....rarely do you get the opportunity trade for them.

Like I said I dont mind if we get Bosh but I would prefer Amare. Two other guys I wouldnt mind here in Chicago are David West or Carlos Boozer. Boozer probably is the last on that list as he has missed 20+ games a year for the past several years.

My wish list
1. Amare
2. Bosh
3. West
4. Boozer

Mine is similar....
1. Amare
2. Bosh
3. Bynum
4. West
5. Boozer/Milsap

If LA doesnt win the title, I see Bynum taking a trip for a starting PG and maybe a starting 3.

Deng/Kirk for Bynum/Farmar.

LA: Kirk, Kobe, Deng, Odom, Gasol (wow)
Chi: Rose, Gordon, Salmons, Noah, Bynum (improved) (bench: TT, Miller, Farmar, Picks)

^^^^ pipe dream

I agree.

If Lakers don't win the title this year and if they think they dont' have all that much time left as Kobe is not getting any younger, they might take that Bynum chip and trade in for couple of solid players and go at it again.

How about Hinrich + Deng + whatever (pick/expiring/cash) for Bynum + salary matching backups.

Look at the Lakers lineup:

Hinrich
Kobe
Deng
Odom
Gasol

That team can atleast win 2 more championships until Kobe Retires.

OR they can do sign and trade Odom as well in that package to us for Noah or Tyrus?

Rose
Gordon
Salmons
Odom
Bynum

We have Tyrus or Noah coming off the bench with Miller.

Amare is my guy. He came alive last year when he dropped like a load of points on Pacers. He was dominating their front-court. I'm sorry for Rose and the rest of our fans; I really don't see how we're going to win a championship with Paxson not being aggressive in trades and Lebron reaching a level of superior. Last, Newskool is crazy for doubting Bosh fluidity. He's the best skilled 4 in this league. Amare is skilled in his own right but Bosh is more advanced.

Yes, exactly. We need someone other than Noah/Tyrus on the pick and roll. Having Bosh on a pick and roll with Rose or Gordon would be deadly.

But Pax hasn't been able to pull off the big trade yet, so I'm not holding my breath.

I agree with NSB on this, if Bosh is so great, then why were the Raptors so bad?? I would still take Bosh in a heartbeat. But it's a fair question. Analysts always talk about how good Calderon is, and that Bosh is a superstar. Well, if they are both so good, why did they lose almost 50 games.

It's funny you talk about this because every year Bosh has been in the league he has had 9.8 win share give or take a few. His team has been up and down in win column, but he's always been constant

I couldn't care less about "win-share". Is there a "Win-Share Finals" that I'm unaware of?? The Raptors have gone backwards for two straight years. If Calderon and Bosh are the cats pajamas, then why were the Raptors so bad???

Again, I would take Bosh in a heartbeat. But I don't think NewSkool is crazy for saying Bosh hasn't won. It's true. The Raptors have gone backwards.

This is garbage. Just look at his per and stats. He clearly gets it done, it's his team that sucks.

If so, then they will have to look at the fit - I just don't see Beasley and Bargnani fitting in - I also have doubts that Bargnani and Aldridge can fit-in together as well but MIGHT work.

If the Raptors are trading Bosh they should aim to get back the best player they can. Bargnani isn't so good you care about how that fits with him, you move him later if you have to.

I also don't see why Portland would trade Aldridge for Bosh. What they have works, and Aldridge is a pretty good player in his own right. They've just won 54 games with none of their key players over 24 years old, and most of the top of their conference on the decline. Why risk disrupting things?
