Yeah, me too. Just razzing msadows about Sherman wanting to go to a "contender" meaning an NFC North contender - I'm sure that's what Sherman meant...lol

Wouldn't multiple division titles be nice for a change?
Besides you never know what can happen once you're in. Twice the Giants shocked everyone and took home the title. Not many people gave Philadelphia a chance in hell once they lost Carson Wentz. Peyton Manning could barely even play when the Broncos won it. Even Tampa Bay looked kind of miserable until their defense really found its stride.

Obviously it doesn't work out like that the vast majority of the time, but its definitely better playing meaningful playoff football than it is getting to pick higher in the first round.

but i’m taking about the years they won the SB and were playing in super bowls. when was the last time they were in the super bowl?

the 2014 season, which coincided with that defense starting to decay.

im not saying the offense and russ weren’t serviceable but that D carried the team.

Russell Wilson was a helluva lot more than serviceable in 13 and 14. If they don't draft him they don't win a SB or probably even make it.

call him what you want, but he wasn’t the top 5 QB he is now, which is the point i was making.

Well that's kind of because there were more good quarterbacks then than there are now. These days Deshaun Watson goes out and wins four games but piles on garbage time stats and people line up around the block to say he's one of the five best in the game. Even then, Russell Wilson was still really good just kind of lost in the shuffle. In retrospect he should've been regarded much more highly outside of Seattle (who has always appreciated him).

Am I high? Absolutely.

If GB implodes, absolutely.

Contender down the road? Absolutely.

The fields pick just extended the window khalil mack opened for another 2-3 years.
You know, I'm reserving judgment until Fields plays and praise until he earns it, but having the quarterback in house changes everything. If Fields comes in and plays like Justin Herbert did last year... Yeah, that would be a big difference in our competitiveness.

The division runs through GB until Rodgers no longer suits up for them. Be that as it may, wildcard teams have a chance to win the Superbowl too.

Damn this koolaid is good.

Seattle’s problem is they then had to pay Wilson, which meant dismantling the defense. They’ve been good, but haven’t won since…

Plus its hard to replicate the draft success they had to build the legion in the first place.

They actually dismantled the offensive line more than the defense and it put them in a mini-dark age when the offensive line was all bad and the defense was all getting old. Remember when they traded Max Unger for Jimmy Graham?
