I believe so. Yes...ik it was ONLY the Preaseason and ONLY the Pacers, but you can sense what we finally have...a Shooting Guard that can...guess what...SHOOT! I really don't see anyother team(except Miami) giving us any trouble. I can't wait for the season to start, just imagine how wide open the lanes will be because we won't be playing 4 on 5 handicap basketball.

What about you guys? Agree or Disagree?

Finals = Maybe

Don't see the Bulls beating Miami (if I had to predict).

I'd much rather see the Bulls in the Finals instead of the Heat. So hopefully RIP is enough to get past Miami.

Getting Rip was a good move. Definately increases our chances of a finals appearance but certainly doesn't garentee anything..If Rip happens to get hurt, we would be shorter on scoring guards than last season..let's not forget that Rip is 34 and what we witnessed was only a preseason game against the lowly Pacers....Don't get too optimistic too soon...re evaluate in a couple months......
Now add JR Smith to that and our fnals appearance is garenteed......All China wants is pocket change to release him.
Also adding a veteran big man on the bench similar to kurt Thomas would also add depth and provide insurance if an unfortunate occurance happens to 1 of our only two centers......And I'm not saying that we don't have a pretty dam good team because we do....I'm just keeping in mind that this season will have more back to back games piled up with little rest when compare to seasons past...That also increases risk to our rosters physical health, so it would be wise for management to consider adding viable insurance policys cause anything can happen...1 major injury can destroy our championship hopes....not to mention that we are not the only powerhouse team that wants to and has the potential to get out of the East.....This is going to be one hell of a season.

On paper, its really not that big of a move to think that that makes you win 3 more games against Miami and thus make the Finals.

However using the intangibles of the game, adding in Rips PPG additions to the game could very well be a different in beating Miami. Miami though has gotten better defensively by adding Battier, and Battier himself can score points. I think he could do some damage against us while a player like Jurmaine Jones did absolutely nothing against us in the ECF. So we'll have to wait and see what happens. I hope its another ECF showdown though.

All we need to beat Miami is the same work ethic as last year and a healthy team. Rip is going to help, no doubt, but the experience and health is the most important factor.

And LeBron disappearing in the 4th Quarter.

Jurmaine Jones? You mean James Jones?

There was a Jumaine Jones back in the day...I think he played for the Celtics. A solid 3pt shooter I believe he was too. lol

I doubt it, the Heat are just a better playoff NBA team.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it.

No such thing as a "better playoff team". I wouldn't under estimate the ability for Rip to open lanes for Rose.

Umm... sure there is. The regular season doesn't mean all that much in the NBA. That is known.

The playoffs are completely different, where individual players get isolated, fouls are not called on superstars and certain teams rise above the rest, mainly due to the refs.

I'm sorry if you disagree with the truth.

While the Heat were the better team last year, you can't underestimate the Bulls. If they had Boozer and Noah healthy (and Hamilton) last year, the Heat would have had to game plan differently defensively.

That means that the refs are what determine if a team is a "playoff team" or not?

Lebron can no longer drape himself over rose the entire series anymore. Well he can, if they want Rip to drop 25 ppg during the series.

What the Bulls really will need is Noah, Boozer, and Deng to step up. LeBron will still drape himself over Rose while Wade chases Hamilton around. That leaves Deng to step it up on the wing and then guys to play down low.
