According to the New York Daily News, NESN Sports and many others, the Patriots are expected to at least listen to trade talks for the four-time Pro Bowler. If New England is listening it would be wise for the Bears to enter the conversation to see what the price is.

The 27 year-old has suffered through many injuries as a professional football player and that has contributed to missing a decent amount of time. Gronk missed nine games last season, five in 2014 and nine in 2013. He does, however, have five seasons where he played 10+ games, but three of them were pre-2012. It’s obvious Gronkowski is a big injury risk, similar to Miller, so if the asking price is astronomical at least Pace could say he investigated.

parties too much/hard.. it leads to a body breaking down quicker... thus the injuries imo..

would it be great..

if it were jiimy g and rob g for pick 3
That would be a put it all on double zero spin of the wheel by Pace. But it happens only in Fantasy land.

fantasies can be good.. like that other article at that site.. it states the bears are raising ticket prices because they are making offseason moves...

Depends on the price. Who wouldn't give up a mid round pick for Gronk? Now if they want a 1st or 2nd, you say no obviously.

Brilliant.

So, for this years second, and next years third, we can get Jimmy. Then throw in next years first for an injury riddled alcoholic just before he turns 30.

Reading be hard.

The Bears got a fourth-round pick for Bennett after offering him up to New England after they threw in an additional sixth-rounder. Bennett was considered by many to have a lot of talent, but his time in Chicago was simply up. Many are now saying the same about Gronkowski and the Pats. Bennett also already had a Pro Bowl under his belt before Chicago dealt him.

Let’s say the price is in the same ball park. What if the Bears could acquire Gronkowski for their third round pick? Would that be a deal worth investigating if you are Pace?

This is a lot different from the Bennett situation though. The main reason Bennett was traded was because they said he was a distraction. For all of his talent, Gronk literally cannot stay on the field. Bennett had some injuries while here, but nothing like Gronk.

Yes, I would take a chance on a player who can't stay on the field who is the best player at his position when he does and all I have to give up is a midrounder. He is still young. He doesn't have concussion issues and all his injuries are unrelated to each other.

Great player, major distraction would cost a first round pick at a minimum.

I'd rather see what Seattle wants for Jimmy Graham. Jimmy hasn't meshed well with Wilson.
