Wonder whether Rodon is going to be like the THINKER or the MONSTER who fought GODZILLA:)

I am at work so can't look this up. In that 4 inning 8k game. How many pitches did he throw and how many runs did he give up?

I mean 73 pitches is a lot but at least he is showing exactly what he was supposed to be. A strike out pitcher and I'll take a strike out pitcher over some slow crafty guy. Not named buerle.

Yep. I am really torn on whether they should just let him pitch in the AAA or bring him up in September.

If they feel there is nothing left for him to learn in the minors you promote him, otherwise leave him there. No reason to rush.

I think he gets stretched out in AAA this year. no need to rush him to the rotation and we already have 2 lefties in the BP.

If he's learned in the offseason in in ST what the team wanted him to learn which is why he wasn't called up last season, I am all for him as the #5. If not, like Dews said, stretch him out in AAA, hone his craft and when an opening happens promote him. If an opening never happens, well, that means PLAYOFFS BABY!!! So no real downside.

Him in the bullpen is a mistake. Don't waste his service time in the pen. Call him up in June, or whenever the service time cutoff is, and let him be a starter

Maybe. Is he playing winter ball? They've got to decide whether when he does get to the club if they'll use him as a starter right away. Perhaps a decision on whether Danks stays or not will be an indicator? If they trade Danks, then my bet is that the kid will pencil in as a 5th starter.
