Yeah I suppose if you want to throw feminine names at men, in classical Latin the "us" is masculine while an "a" is female.





i.e. Gaius and Gaia Antonius and Antonia Aurelius Aurelia Claudius Claudia etc etc.



Romans had a bad habit of giving all their kids the same name too. and would refer to them as "The elder" and "the younger".

This is pretty funny. These are the tid bits of history I really love. I am very tactile with that sort of thing, like if and when I every visit Rome, im going to be touching everything which hopefully includes the local population of Romani women.

I am glad you posted this about being hellbent on the tactile experience because I will thoroughly look forward to your posts recounting your encounters with the ubiquitous Carabinieri in Rome. They might jack your experience right the **** on up but at least you can take some comfort in knowing they'll look suave doing it in their Armani-designed uniforms!
