Is this WWE? So fixed and controlled. Who is going to spend their next 50 bucks for a minute of entertainment? Where is the Hulk and Roddy Rowder Piper when we need them, Next bout the opponent will last 50 seconds and everyone will be clamoring to pay a 100 bucks to watch the next fight. I coulda flopped better than this *****. How much will they pay me?
Wanderlei?

Let her fight men.

She might have more competition but I think she probably would hold her own in her weight class.

She's strong, fast and knows what she is doing in the ring. Obviously fighting other women, at least at this point in her career, isn't much of a challenge.

She would get KO'd against dudes.... assuming they let her fight a male bantamweight who was at least top 10.... her standup is still developing and she is killing women who simply brawl like this is the UFC of the early 2000s....

Imagine Rousey fighting TJ Dillishaw or Renan Barao.... dude size/strength/power even at 135lbs is very different from the Women's 135lb weight class.

Heck give her 10lbs on Demetrious Johnson and have them fight, you think she would be able to outstrike him? outmuscle him?

Nothing against Rousey... she is very good.... but female MMA is like 5-10 years behind men's MMA.... dudes at 135lbs probably fight with the muscle of a 155lb fighter.... women are not there yet.

Yeah, I don't think Rousey would have much of a chance against a male MMA fighter. Would have to be someone who isn't that experienced and I don't think any U.S. Fighting commission would even sanction that fight.

Yes, against top male Bantamweight competition she would get rekt.... I am sure you could find a scrub off the pre-lims she might be able to Judo throw and then armbar for a win, but in my mind if she gets to step over into the male Bantamweight division to fight someone, it should be top competition.... not some scrub just so she can armbar him and be all "Omg I beat up a dude"..... problem is no dude in top competition is gonna want to be the dude who beat the shit outta Ronda Rousey.... nor would they want to run the risk of being the first dude in the UFC to lose to a girl, you probably would not find one in the top 10 who would be willing to sign that fight.

All very true. Ronda is light years ahead of most women in the sport but the men way more rounded and naturally much stronger. To be honest, the fact that most woman fighters are so bad helps Ronda look so good. Ronda isn't even willing to move up 10 pounds to fight Cyborg who might be the only real competition out there for her, although I think she's overhyped.

Yeah Ronda wants Cyborg to come down 10 pounds to fight her. Basically said she needs to get off the roids to come down. There's a lawsuit now in place from a cyborg against Ronda for slander, but it ain't going to hold up in court. Supposedly Dana White wants to make the Ronda vs Tate a trilogy fight, and since Tate is the only female to reach the 2nd round with her it might still be a pretty good fight.

Age old issue with mixed gender sports. If the guy wins, who cares, it was a girl, you've got the physical advantage. But if the guy loses...ZOMG HE LOST TO A GIRL WHAT A SCRUB. The guy has no incentive to do this.

I'd imagine UFC would take quite a hit for promoting/televising a man hitting a woman as well.

Well said Ares, the people who serioulsy think Ronda could compete with the top men are the same ones that think that any College football championship team could compete with even the worst NFL team.

In both cases it aint happening.

It really is sad that Ronda cant get better female competition though. At this point her biggest challange is staying focused to prepare for weak contenders. She wont be beat until she loses that focus.

Oh, a million or two dollars would probably do it.
