K.C Johnson just tweeted that Bulls have informed Ronnie Brewer that his $4.37 million option won't be picked up. This is a good move by the Bulls Brewer's shot was horrible last season and now Jimmy Butler will get more playing time.

Wish him the best for his future.

Butler seems to be at the same level defensively, so the move makes sense.

Out of Watson, Brewer and Korver; Ronnie was the one I expected last to return.

Actually Hinrich should be an upgrade over Brewer .....

The way he's played I don't see him as an upgrade over anybody, especially Watson. He clearly lost something once he got traded from Chicago and I don't see it coming back.

Exactly. The only thing that tipped the scale in Kirk's favor was his wealth of starting experience. Other than that this was a unilateral move.

With Brewer no longer here, the Bulls officially only have 1 2guard named Rip Hamilton who is in the body of a 50 year old.

Good work Pax

I guess this means he really has to sign JR Smith now

Jr is going to sign Wth new York it was announced today

I know, LoL...........

I just wanted to post about him being a Bull just 1 more time.

Its the end of an era on C.C.S now.

I will never again flirt with the idea of JR Smith to the Bulls again......ever.

And its a shame because we just lost our best 2guard in Ronnie Brewer in which I'm pretty ticked about.

Old ancient injury proned Rip is our only 2guard now, and it scares me because he played like only 10 games last season, LMAO.

WTF is Pax thinking.......he just go alittle bit more Special person.

JR too young. Plus they seem to like guards with recent injury issues. He's gonna play in too many games.

Addition by subtraction...or so the FO will say. I mean...if they're really hoping to do anything this season, why let Brewer/Korver go? Both of them can help immensely. I highly doubt Rip Hamilton will give us useful production for long enough for us to do anything. Oh well...:dunno:

He will be missed.
If Pax doesn't find someone to replace him, we are screwed.
Hinrich is no 2guard.

Brewer could play multiple positions and defend well.
Plus was capable of starting for us when needed.
His offensive game wasn't pleasant to watch, but at times he showed promise.

We really have no dependable 2guard once again with Brewer or without Brewer anyway since the departure of Gordon.
