Ok...now that the picks are done. When do we get to see these kids take the ice at Johnny's West?

What's the deal with Beach? Can we call him a bust now or what?

Perhaps not, but I would think after the Black Aces incident he would be shipped out.

From what I heard, and I could be horribly wrong on this, Beach was asked to report to the Rockford playoff team but didn't because he wanted to be a part of the Black Aces--the Rockford guys deemed good enough to be call-up in the 'hawks playoffs. Beach wasn't selected to the Black Aces anyway.

I'm not calling him a bust Talent-wise, but assuming the above incident was true (even if I garbled the details worse than the voice of the girl who works the drive-through speaker at Der Weinerschnitzel with her manager's **** in her mouth), we don't need that in our roster camp.

IIRC he got called up to be a Black Ace and refused to join the team.

what was he reasoning for that? I'm trying to find a link to the story so if you have it please post - thx!

one year in the AHL. GTFO.

52 goals in one season to 16 goals the next. That's not good. And he was a minus-24. I haven't liked the kid since he fought with Seabrook a couple years ago. You don't do that.

Oh jeez, are you comparing what Beach did in the OHL as a 20 year old to what he did as a rookie in the AHL?! You are more lost than I thought.

Wow its so nice to have Kerfuffles wisdom back... /purple

How the **** are you going to call one year on almost the shittiest team in the AHL a bust?

52 goals in the WHL is a bit different then doing that in the AHL on a shitty team.

How about seeing the kid play with NHLers before declaring a bust.

ugh.......he was literally a man amongst boys when he potted 50+ in the CHL.

i can't believe he didn't put up at least 60 in rockford since he matured a year and got better.

Apparently the Hawks aren't that impressed with him as much as they once were either. 5 other guys now ahead of Beach on the depth chart.

Well the article starts by saying he was omitted from the black aces. Everyone here is of the belief that he was asked, but refused. And also, just because the other guys played well enough to move ahead of him doesn't make him a bust. He could figure it out and dominate this year, its only hos second year as a pro.

I would think that the moment in Prospects Camp where he was involved with Olimb would have some say in what the club thinks about him. Seems undisciplined to me, and that can be handled if he lets it. I'll give him another chance in the A before I would even consider seeing him in the Indianhead.

Never heard about the time with Seabrook, though. That does carry some weight too, even if it was ages ago. It just tells me that he hasn't changed. He needs to get his head on straight and that does bother me.

When did he get into it with Seabrook? I remember RK saying that if he fucked around that Seabrook wouldn't hesitate to put him in his place but never heard of an actual incident.

Seabrook knocked the shit out of him in Kyles first "Hawks" training camp. They had Red White games in Rockford and Beach was cocky with Seabrook. Seabrook proceeded in kicking his ass on the ice. Was awesome! That was the game Makarov Toews and Havlat put on a show as well.

Beach will get a shot this year regaurdless of what transpired last. Comparing what an OLD PLAYER (in OHL Standards did) to his AHL stats is about the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read on here. Of course his numbers were crazy, he was BIGGER, STRONGER, and mostly OLDER than any of his peers that last year in the OHL. Fucking clueless.
