He can do lots of things. I think he’s just scared to tell Dalton. He’s the type that eventually will but not at the beginning. He likes to have a great relationship with players but doesn’t want to upset them because he gets too personal or just doesn’t have the balls at first.
LOL. Like Nagy gives a shit and Dalton would understand. People need alternate realities to confirm their biases. Nagy may blow this or not but it won't be about balls or feelings.

Man, I'm rooting for Jenkins, despite him being a total goondick looking mofo... Or maybe because of it. Idk, but truthfully, he doesn't pass the name test. "Oh no, here comes TEVEN!" Doesn't exactly strike fear.

Nagy is coaching for his life. If Fields gives him the needs best shot at winning, he'll be in sooner rather than later if the decision is his to make. But it isn't. It's Pace's decision. This narrative of Pace being on the hot seat is bull. The brass love him, and Pace has his scapegoat. He's going to force Fields to stay on the bench as long as possible, knowing it's NEXT season that is do or die for him. In which case, Fields should be ready to step in and play career savior. Not saying I agree with the approach, only that this is how I see things shaking out.

Fields is the future. Everyone in the org knows it. Everything they do will be to give him the best possible chance to succeed

I honestly feel it’s Nagy not wanting to do Dalton dirty after he told him he would be the starter. Didn’t realize Fields would drop and was able to get him. I don’t think he wants to upset him. Yet that is. Could still happen but I think that’s it. Yes, fuck what he thinks and what not but I truly believe that’s it.
Then he needs to be fired. I highly doubt he’s not starting the best player, inevitably saving his job and possibly his career because of hurt feelings.

If Nagy promised Dalton he would start the season regardless of what happened in the draft, Nagy seems to me like a guy who would keep his word on that.

And I am fine with that. This OL is going to have some kinks to work out and I would rather have that happen with Dalton in there.

And what is most important for Nagy to keep his job is a good showing by Fields, so holding him back a few games doesn't hurt that. The worst possibly thing for Nagy would be Fields struggling.

Jenkins looks like a big goofy country farm boy.

Dalton gets Donald, his former team and Garrett to start the year. Sets up nicely for Fields to start against the lowly Lions before I watch him in Vegas.

Nagy is not coaching for his life though. HIm and PAce have two years to get this right and working
