Look, if "D" ankle is hurting him, I think they should opt to sit him 2 more weeks. I had a ankle injury playing on concrete too much. I went through the ice pack therapy and that didn't work. Then I started to use supplements that were glorified - I won't mention the brand - and it worked. I'm just saying, a ankle injury is a nagging problem because blood doesn't flow amply in that region. He should use supplements to speed the process or ask the trainer to throw some steroids in that region. I'm just saying - or he could just rest and not pull a Grant Hill.
