Really wouldn't expect much else. I figured he would give 110% and then some to get back.

Not to be the contrarian here, but I'll throw out the opposite view just because. I don't want him coming back any sooner than what was originally stated. I think with his injury, and the amount of time he'll most likely miss next year, it's better to think long-term than winning games next season.

Just my $.02 but if he is going to be out until January-February anyways, there is no need to rush him back into the lineup.

Agreed.

Plus you are so early in the process right now while being "ahead of schedule" is good in one sense it may not mean much of anything 5 months from now. Rose won't be right for a year after the injury anyways so....meh. Hope he gets healed up and comes back but I;d really rather see him be "on schedule" than ahead or behind. Gotta trust the doctors are the ones dictating his recover and not Rose.

When has someone ever been "behind schedule"? I don't want Rose to push himself so hard trying to get back quicker that he re-injures himself & is costs himself more time.

I've resigned myself to believing we won't see Rose until the 2013-14 season and I'm okay with that. Next year needs to be a re-tooling year.

It's the offseason. It's about Rose.

Suck it.

While I understand the "patience game" and the importance of it. I doubt Rose wants anything to do with it. He is going to push the organization to get back as soon as humanly possible. Rose has already had issues with the Bulls medical staff. It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Definitely not surprised that Rose is pushing hard to come back. As a player, I would want to get back on the court as soon as possible too. I can only imagine how he feels being the heart and soul of this team and seeing how bad they played without him.

At the same time though, I don't want him to rush it. An ACL injury is serious and even if he could come back by the start of the season, I'm not sure if I would want him too. I think it's more important that he gets fully healthy than getting a few more wins in the regular season.

I don't think anyone is advocating his comeback start before he is fully healthy. Its when he will be fully healthy. I doubt if that will be a concern come next April/May. It might be, but I seriously doubt it. Now if we are talking December/January? That is a different story.

And if he is healthy, fully healthy...he won't want to miss the playoffs next year. At least I don't think he will...

Yeah I agree with you. The thing is I think that he is going to say he's good by December/January when he might be more like 80%.

Obviously if he's fully healthy and it's playoff time, put him in. Don't see any reason to hold him out at that point.

Take your time Derrick, rushing back last season is what ended up biting you in the ass.

Steve Nash will take it from here.

Ahead of schedule, behind schedule, who cares? As long as he is making progress toward a full recovery I don't give a rat's ass.
