I think it's more important that he gets fully healthy than getting a few more wins in the regular season.

Obviously if he's fully healthy and it's playoff time, put him in. Don't see any reason to hold him out at that point.
Here's my thing.....I am 100% behind what you put in the first post I quoted. The second one however, not so much. The Bulls playing without Rose for x number of games maybe means they are a 6 seed, at best. Honestly, if you're the organization, is it worth putting Rose back into the lineup during the playoffs if you're seeded that low?

Herm Edwards aside, $94 million is a lot of money towards a repaired ACL. Some of you are thinking about Rose, I'm thinking about the Bulls.

Don't play that card on me.

If the Bulls say he's ready, he should play.

If he's not ready, and the Bulls say he isn't ready he shouldn't play.

Not a hard concept for me.

I think the real question is, who's the 3rd seed? With Rose in the lineup we are a significantly better team and probably a much better team than what we'll go into the playoffs with. With him, we're a top 2 team (heck even with him out half this season we were the #1 seed, not like it means a whole lot when it comes to facing Miami, but still) in the Conference and I'm pretty confident that we can beat anyone but the Heat.

I mean, what does it do for the team for them to pretty much give up the season by just sleepwalking through the playoffs without Rose? If he's good to go I think we still have a decent shot at the ECF provided we're not facing Miami in the 2nd round.

I don't care about seeding next season. I want the Bulls to take this opportunity to develop roles and players, unlike last season, where we just tried to steer the boat with CJ, Lucas, and Brewer. Thibs is a great mind, but he is somewhat weak when it comes to development of young players. He's a smart guy, I'm sure he can get better at molding absolutely raw ability. We need him to get better if we intend on keeping him, like so many of us expect. More Spurs turnaround, less Laker-rely-on-big-names.

I know ill receive hate mail for what I'm about to say, but I can't help but wonder what the Bulls could get in return with a Rose trade.................

There is no garentee on what Rose will be when he returns.....its the unfortunate truth.
If the Bulls could get a superstar in return for Rose that's worth the trade, would any of you do it?
Depending on who it is of course.

I'm not saying id definately make the trade, but it is tempting.........Sorry if I offended any Rose loyalists.

Just Brain storming.

It doesn't matter how low the Bulls are seeded. If Rose is somehow healthy in-time for next years' playoffs, you play him. The Bulls are going to rock the Hawks and Magics of the East even if they don't have home-court advantage over them in a series.

The Bulls honestly should not play Rose at all if his knee is still not fully healed.

Rose is a shell of himself without every last shred of athleticism anyway.

And you can't risk ruining his health because that hurts the team a HELL of a LOT more than losing in the playoffs again next year.

Even if they have no knee caps in the future? :dunno:

His value is high right now, but if he fails to be an mvp type player again, the value will fall to the dirt..........

Plus he's not the MVP anymore. Just saying.

Lebron James is the MVP now.
If he gets his leg cut off by a train, would you not trade him because he once was the quote on quote mvp at one time?

Nobody stays the mvp forever.

And like I sayed, just a thought.........I hope I'm wrong.

Only way I'm trading Rose is if he comes back too early and aggravates his injury. Which is exactly why you don't bring him back too early.

Trading Rose is bad business. It would leave a black mark on this organization's reputation, and right now, we're trying to clean the marks left from Pax's learning experience.

Also, there is no guarantee no matter what. Trade Rose, get another player than tears an ACL out of the blue. You never know what can happen. Hey, Boozer stayed healthy last year, who saw that coming?

LoL, if that happens, he won't be able to be traded unless you would accept a bag of peanuts in return.

Boozer still pretty much sucks too.

The Bulls reputation was destroyed when Jordan,Pippen and Phil were pushed away.
