Actually think Rozie was doing just fine this postseason. Haven't really noticed him since he was torched by Wilson early in the Nashville series ... and that was a LONG time ago in playoff terms.

Q says it's not looking good for Rozy.

The boneheaded penalties were an issue but he had improved in the playoffs

There were some very questionable calls. As was a Oduya's phantom penalty....And Bickell s call was weak too You have to look at when they were called in the game. Minny down 3-0...he and parise fighting for position and a lame hold call

Rozi was doing okay. Those penalties were fucked up despite what Shart thinks. He thinks pampers are short shorts so I wouldnt take much stock in what Shart thinks.

Def going to impact other blueliners minutes so that sucks. His outlet passes were getting good and he was getting physical. So there will be things to miss. Who knows what the next round may bring but I am sure its going to be a much more difficult series than the last one. Probably harder than the Preds series also and that was a tough series when you look back at it now with those Overtimes and all that goalie shit.

Ducks will be physical but not as fast as either first round opponents.

Hawks won't dominate the draws like they did this series. Runblad is going to struggle because unlike Rozy - he won't take a hit to make a play. He doesn't block shots as well and definitely doesn't have the compete level. Timonens minutes will probably increase. The Hawks forwards speed vs Ana slug defence will be the key to winning

With Rosival Wild scored 4 goals in 3.50 games. About 1.14 GAA

Without him 3 goals in .5 games. About a 6 GAA

It's over guys

This is not cause for celebration. At all. Rozsival was actually playing just fine the last few games. Steady is probably the word I would use to describe his play.

Now, we likely get to see David Fucking Rundblad. Who, in case you forgot, is an absolute ABORTION of a defenseman. I really hope Q slots in Cumiskey, as he has some speed, and I think he's a much better option back there. He will take hits to make a play and can block shots. Runblad will be changing his fucking pants after the first shift he plays in the playoffs. He's a gigantic fucking pussy, who really brings absolutely nothing to the table except SUCK. Hell, I'd probably prefer Johns over Runblad too... Or ****, even Paliotta. Runblad is just that bad.

Shitty way to end a career, too. Especially when he had been playing better in this series.

Timonen has to play more than 7-8 minutes now....right?

Yeah, Roszy improved as the playoffs have gone on and I am worried Q is going to over-play the top 4 for the rest of the playoffs and they will be knackered if the Hawks get to the Cup final.

Not a fan of celebrating any player's injury, no matter who they are. Especially one that could possibly end their career.

Rozi has been doing just fine this postseason. Blackhawks are actually asking a lot from him by playing him with Keith. Sure, he has one of the best Dmen out there as his partner, but he is also drawing some tougher competition than he would if he was playing the traditional #5/6 spot. He is prone to that boneheaded turnover, but most #6 type dmen are...he made some nice stretch passes, held the blueline well, and wasn't afraid to take a hit to make a play.

I haven't been a fan of having Keith/Seabrook split up and haven't been a fan of Keith/Rozi being together...but not the way I wanted to see the split up happen.

He's like 76 and a half years old. His career was going downhill fast anyways.

It'll be okay buddy.

While not a fan of his play, I think Runblad gets the first kick of the can.

He's played 50gms this year with the club, has played extensively with Keith and I am sure has a bit of a dressing room bond with the team. All things are important whether anyone likes it or not. Somehow he was a +17 with the club this year.

The few good aspects are he is a RFA and should be pretty much playing for his NHL life here...so it will be a make or break for him. Kitchen won't hesitate to bench him the minute they see something they don't like. The 4gm destruction of that shitty MIN team allows the top 4 (who I don't think have ever played better) to rest

While a lot of people don't like Timonen...he's been a world class player and leader on every team he's ever played. He ridiculously respected on teams and I'm sure he is going to do everything he can to take raise his game, knowing what's at stake. Character/veteran players usually show the ability to do this.

He was also one of the top 6 on the best team in the NHL

Even at 76 years old, buddy

When the Hawks lose to the Flames in 6, can we blame the dinosaur for dying?

Nah, no one will believe that.

Rosy stepped it up the series against the Wild, so his loss will be felt, even though he was a 5-6.
I think fans are spoiled that the Hawks have 2,7 and 4, and a serviceable 27. Rosy would probably be a second pair guy on the majority of NHL teams, and maybe a #2 on some teams that don't have the D depth.
Rundblad will probably be the go to #6 and log 10-12 minutes with Q overloading the top 4 with the major minutes. Depending on how the games go, Rundblad would probably get more time if there are leads of 3 goals or more, but I don't see the Ducks or Flames forechecking as fierce as the Wild did. Minnesota got prime chances to take leads and make this more than a 4 game series. If the puck didn't bounce on Suter last evening or if Craw didn't make timely saves this series goes 6, maybe 7 with the Hawks still pulling it out.
